TMT: Catching Up

Proverbs 3:4-5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.

Boy is that ever true! We recently finished our taxes, and what do you know we got back just the right amount back to pay off our debts. Seriously, it was within dollars... (Thanks again Mom and Dad for being patient with us :) It feels SO AWESOME to be free of those debts! I need to be careful though, since it feels like a huge weight has been lifted I seem to want to spend more money! We need to start saving! Especially since we've got QUITE the summer situation coming up.

Let me explain, my younger brother is getting married the end of June in Newport Beach CA. Today, I just got an e-mail from Matt's Aunt explaining that MeMama's 100th birthday is the SAME DAY as my brothers wedding, and that is on the other side of the continent in FLORIDA! We can't do both obviously, but we are thinking hoping praying that we can come close to doing to both but not actually being there for the birthday party. Maybe be there the week before? We'll see if it can work out, the stars will seriously have to align and we'll have to scrimp and save in order to do it. Good thing I asked about it now rather than finding out in a few more months when it probably wouldn't have worked out.

Anyway long story short we are debt free (SUCH A TENDER MERCY!) and hoping that we can continue to save money and vacation days in order to spend extra special time with our family this summer.
