Disneyland Day 2

Picture Dump Day 2.
This day we visited California Adventure Park. It wasn't near as busy as it was the day previous at Disneyland. We got through everything we wanted to do too, it was perfect!
Ready to go on Toy Story Mania. We all REALLY liked this ride, it was our first one I think...
While waiting for the kid swap on Goofy's Fly School ride, Goofy himself came out to see the kids! They were so excited! No hugs from Ty but a "HI GOOFY!" was said at least.
Sierra was too nervous to even go over and say Hi so we took a picture, me and her, from afar. Don't ask me what those weird reflections are from on my face.
Kids together.
We went on California Screamin' that was a BLAST! Then most of the families went on Mickey's Fun wheel, a HUGE Ferris Wheel with swinging cars and stationary cars... I opted out since I am DEATHLY afraid of heights. I took May over to the shops and she tried on a few ridiculously overpriced headbands :)
There they are HIGH HIGH HIGH UP! I hear Ty was scared to Death too but tried to fake it since everyone else was trying to fake it too. Also Elena was scared out of her mind and just shook with a blank look on her face the whole time. SCARY RIDE!
On our way over to another ride we stopped off for a cool treat, the weather was about 80 degrees, toasty for what we were used to, Ty got an AWESOME Mickey Ice Cream Pop, he LOVED it and wouldn't share with anyone.
I believe we rode Ariel's undersea adventure in there somewhere. We really liked that one too.
We went to play in "bug land" for a while then headed over to Monster's Inc. while those that wanted to ride Tower of Terror went there. Ty and Suzanne were 9+playing...
If that is what you call it.
Baby Dean and Grandpa
The girlies waiting in line.
After Monsters we headed back for a rest and dinner time. We ate then headed back to Dinseyland to catch the Soundsational Parade and the fireworks. The whole crew waiting for the Parade to begin.
Matt and May.
Lots of waves and kisses were blown Ty, Laycee, Baylee, Jason and Sierra's way.
We loved the Lion King float.
Ty and Matt watching, Ty pointed out everything he loved.
One of his favorites was Peter Pan and Captain Hook.
After the Parade we headed over to RIDE Peter Pan.
We did a lot of Double Stroller action.
Riding Peter Pan with Aunt Zan and Preston.
We found what we thought was the PERFECT spot for  the Fireworks... Turns out it was a TERRIBLE spot right behind a bunch of trees!! So we all jumped up and moved to a spot where we couldn't see the Castle but we could see the Fireworks.  On the Fourth of July Ty was scared of Fireworks, this time he was totally fine with them in fact he liked them a lot!
We got more snacks, Churros... the scent wafting all over the park was driving us Churro Crazy. We just had to have some! I told Ty to say cheese, he grunted instead.
May and Elena watching the fireworks.

After that Matt stayed a bit longer with the grown ups while I took the kids back home to sleep. I don't think we got the kids in bed before 9:30 any time during the trip. They were TIRED!

Tomorrow's post is the last day at Disneyland, Colton and Maddy joined us!

Disneyland Day 1

Oh hey, yeah we've been gone a while... we were at DISNEYLAND!

So here is the picture dump from Day 1...
Running to the park!
Baylee, Ty, Jason and Laycee hugging... there were lots of hugs given.
Maylee, having no IDEA what is going on.
MICKEY MOUSE IN THE FLOWERS! The first thing Ty spotted walking into the park were TRAIN TRACKS. We told him every ride was a train and he was thrilled.
Our passes allowed us one magic morning entry so we used it on Thursday. It was lame, only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland were open. So we headed to Fantasyland. First ride? SNOW WHITE (the scariest little kid ride in the park) Second ride? PINOCCHIO (the SECOND scariest ride in the park... haha) Needless to say the kids were all spooked so we went on King Arthur's Carousel to calm the nerves.
Next up was DUMBO!
Ty was really excited about DUMBO he loved it.
Then we headed over to Winnie the Pooh!
Haunted Mansion :) Ty actually liked it. He was scared but would have rode it again.
Jungle Cruisin'!
Nice creepin' Kristin, definitely creepy.
Ty trying to patiently wait for the train to take us to Mickey's Toon town.
Ty lovin' the train ride!
Ty thought about giving Mickey a hug, he got really close then backed away. We did get a picture though. He thought it was pretty cool. Maylee was pretty unconcerned that Mickey was in the room. We also rode Roger Rabbit's Car Ride.
Waiting to go on the Kid's Go Coaster in Toon Town.
Ty kept telling us how excited he was to ride the Train. We thought for SURE he would FREAK on the ride. It was actually a pretty intense coaster for little kids... Ty L.O.V.E.D. it. He wanted to go again and again!
Much needed nap time.
We went back to Toon Town for the kids during the Parade. The kids rode the Go Coaster THREE more times.
Jason never wanted to ride with his Mom or Dad, always someone else. Preston was the lucky co-pilot this time :)
We tried to ride Peter Pan, then after waiting about 30 minutes the ride broke down... so we headed over to Buzz in Tomorrowland.
We waited and waited...
Baby Dean did a lot of this... but Buzz broke down too! Ugh! We just headed home after that.

My mom and dad supplied all the Grand kids the same shirt and sweatshirt each day and all the families matching backpacks with our names on them. It was sure handy! Also Thursday was the BUSIEST I have EVER seen Disneyland, even in the summer. It was CRAZY we still don't know why it was so crazy but we only got through about 2/3 of our touring plan that day. Oh well, we only missed the Tiki Room and It's a Small World.
Tomorrow Day 2!

Sickies

Matt came home from work on Monday at lunch time looking like death. He walked straight to bed and crawled under the covers. I grabbed the phone and asked him where his bosses number was... there was no WAY he was going to make it back at work. He got a migraine and didn't head it off in enough time with his medication.

So this is what he looked like Monday afternoon....
Poor guy I told him to get back into bed, but the kids used him as a jungle gym anyway.

Now flashforward to yesterday Maylee was a WHINY PANTS all day. Matt found out she had a 102 temp AND that she had Diaper rash etc etc while I was gone to a Young Women's activity last night. Poor girl is cutting who KNOWS how many teeth. Pretty sure all of them by the look of things.
If she is not being held, she is screaming. Last night I think she slept about 2 hours. The rest of the time I was holding her and not getting anywhere (remember the lady will NOT fall asleep in my arms? Still holds true at night, while sick. What is THAT all about! With Matt she is out in minutes... I should have just woken him up to help)

Most of the time it's like this though... lots of playing together. So i'll think of this while May is whining, sitting on my feet as I type.

Anyway, Ty was getting restless with me holding Maylee all morning and not paying much attention to him. At one point he said "May-EE, No More Grouchin'!" I told him she was sick but he was done with it haha. So as inspired by my Aunt Chrissie who just taught her Pre-Schoolers how, I showed Ty how to do a Sommersalt... He LOVED IT!

I told him to touch his toes, then put his head on the ground and rock forward... he got it right away! It was the first thing he showed Matt when he walked in the door for his lunch break. He is so proud of himself. Anything to keep him occupied while Little Sister is attached to me. I'll update ya'll again when Sis cuts all these angry teeth...better now than on our vacation coming up!
