I have nothing to say
Besides me being so lazy that my house is empty of food, laundry is all over the house, the dishes aren't done, and my driveway still has snow on it. Sounds like I have my evening cut out for me. Grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning and shoveling. I forget the little things I do every day help prevent a night like this. Oh well. It will be nice to get my house in order before the weekend.

What? Fancy seeing you here
Ha Ha I know I haven't been around for a while. It was one long weekend! A few things that happened...
Jordan and Michaela came on Friday and stayed until Sunday with another couple. It was a nice little stay and we enjoyed thier company.
We went to a BYU basketball game on Saturday and they won.
McCain beat Romney in Florida... (Boo)
Sunday I had 2 young women come to church ( Hey its better then 1)
Matt and I had to leave from "Base Herriman" for a "rescue mission" and pick up my mom and Colton in the depths of winter also known as Lakeveiw Oregon. That was one long drive but I am glad everyone is okay and safe.
Colton got his wisdom teeth out yesterday.
Matt played Basketball yesterday and he said he was on fire with his shots!
Thats about it I was SO tired yesterday, today should be a much better day. Both Matt and I are caught up with everything from missing on Monday and I think we should be back to normal life now.

Wedding Pictures?
So last night while I was getting my hair done by Trish I got to see cute little tiny JD. He is so SMALL! I guess I should be used to small baby's but sheesh he seemed so tiny. Don't worry Bobbie you will be a wonderful mother don't fret :). Trish did a great job on my hair thank you greatly I'll be seeing you again soon enough.

ALSO good news my uncle remembered to get me my WEDDING PHOTOS! Yes I got married almost 2 years ago and I finally have them. Both Ray and I just kept forgetting about them!
Here is a funny story about the pictures. So I got back to Will and Kristin's house and we all started looking at the pictures, noticing how different we all look. After flipping through a few Kristin said I think i look quite older then I did 2 years ago, I said ehh i think i look pretty much the same and so does Matt. Then Matt mentioned ohh man Will is more tan then I am in this picture, so Will looked over Matt's shoulder to see the picture. At that point I had mentioned "Oh yeah H and Brit weren't even married in this picture."
Then Will not thinking chimed in with "Had I met Britany at that point yet?"
Then I said" Uh Will you're in the same picture, of course you had met her silly."
Then Matt said :Nope you hadn't met her you waited until after the picture to introduce yourself."
We all started CRACKING up then Matt was hungry so he ran up the stairs to get some cereal and he must have thought of it again because he was laughing so hard he couldn't swallow. We knew at that point it was late and we needed to go.

PAIN loads of PAIN Advisory: This may be too much to read for a Man
SOOOO You ask why I missed two days in a row of blogging? Whelp yesterday wasn't a pleasant day.
Lets just say that I was uhh sick with a umm certain infection I had no idea could happen so dang fast. It started at about 7:30 ish and by 9:30 I thought everything in my lower abdomen/back was about to explode of pain. I called the doctor at 8:30 right as soon as they opened and they told me I needed to get down there right away. I immediately called Matt and he came and picked me up from work and took me to the hospital. Once I got there I still had to sit there for about 30 minutes before they saw me. They took a uhh sample and tested it and usually it takes about 5 minutes to confirm but pretty much they knew from just looking at the sample i had a problem then after the test with in 30 seconds I was diagnosed and she wrote me out a prescription for double strength they were nervous the infection was going to my kidneys or maybe all ready there. They asked me how I let it go so long and I thought "What? From 7:30 this morning to 10:00? It happened that fast!"
Anyways so Matt took me to the local Smiths dropped of the Rx then took me home. He went back got me the antibiotics 30 minutes later with 2 huge bottles of cranberry juice which the doctor says I need to chug. I have been... its so dang TART! So I mixed in a little apple to mild the flavor. After laying down flat all day yesterday I am feeling much better besides being sore ALL over ohh man especially my kidneys, they were so painful yesterday. I didn't ever really know where my kidneys were located exactly until yesterday. I mean I knew they were on the back somewhere how low or how high was beyond me, now I know where they are for sure! Next to Shigella... that is the most pain EVER and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone! Just thought I would let y'all know.
Oh and thanks to Matt for helping me during it all even though I was being a brat and crying for a good 30 minutes straight on the way home....
Now its back to normal life and I thank the lord for Antibiotics. (How did pioneer women do it! Did they just die? Cause I thought I was about too) ... OH AND I AM SO HAPPY TRISH IS DOING MY HAIR TONIGHT! Yay! Thank You Thank You! Oh and is JD home yet? Anybody know? ( i know some of you do i am out of the loop from yesterday )

SNOW! Bonus "syrup" at the end!
OK first of all let me start off by thanking my husband for getting me new windshield wiper blades on Friday and for getting my car ship shape to drive. Second let me thank my brother for giving me his wicked awesome tires.
Today I left for work around 8 not realizing what had been happening ALLL night last night. I opened the garage and about a foot of snow was on the ground. Yee Haw!
I'll give you guys a time progression.
On the road 8 am
at the gas station a mile away 8:20
On Bangerter 8:25
On I-15 9:05
Passing 10600 south 9:20
Getting to work 9:30
IT TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF TO MAKE A NORMALLY 30 MINUTE DRIVE?!!? Yeesh. That was annoying. But hey I had my favorite band Weezer pumpin the WHOLE time... So its not so bad I am just glad I had my 4 wheel drive Jeep. I saw all these cars and trucks sliding everywhere! Mine you ask? nope, not a single slide. Plus I don't think I got going faster then 25 mph the whole time.
That said a few things happened over the weekend.
1. Matt dropped his car off at the shop to get some gasket fixed, the check engine light was on because of it.
2. Saturday morning I went to Bobbies baby shower (Get well soon JD! We wanna meet ya!)
3. Kristin dropped me off at the shop to pick up Matt's car. It started and ran great the first time I drove it then on the way home is started shifting really hard.
4. We had a couple come with us to the BYU vs. UofU basketball game up at the U, we drove Matt's car that was STILL shifting very hard seemed like the trany was about to blow. Matt is going to call them today to get it back into the shop to have the fix whatever it is that they broke...
5. BYU WON! It was a GREAT game.
6. I made dinner for us and then the couple went home.
7. Matt and I went down to Will and Kristin's to spend the night and we watched "Music & Lyrics" I think that movie is so funny!
8. We came home on Sunday (We drove my Jeep) and went to church, where the whole Stake presidency was there and the speakers spoke on supporting your local leaders and receiving your callings and releases properly. Apparently no one wants to do anything in our ward. Matt now has 3 callings! (he has to plan an activity for the Elders Quorum on top of being Facility's guy and teaching Elders Quorum) Yeesh!
9. Jordan and Michaela were in town and come over for dinner ( Good thing I called Kristin and she told me to Make Teryaki pork I would have been at a loss!) Then we watched a movie and they went back to their friends house.
10. Matt doesn't have to work today LUCKY duck so here I am at work... ohh well the banks and county are closed so I cant do much of anything anyways.
Matt and I were dancing on Saturday I dont remember why...
Thanks for reading until next time...

Well...
With Sharon and Cindy gone (my two bosses) in Disneyland along with some other family members (My aunt Karen and 3 of her kids) My work was a little busy yesterday. Not too shabby today I think.
Matt is going to the Jazz game tonight with his "Little". Matt is part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and he just became aware that free stuff is provided alot for just the two of them! Which is fine with me because yep you guessed it tonight there is laundry to be done and a house to be cleaned! I have been slacking yet again...
Tomorrow Matt and I invited a couple from our ward to come with us to the BYU vs UofU basketball game at the U. I will not be surprised if BYU looses after what they looked like against UNLV or Wake Forest. I am a little nervous about the season but we'll see how it goes. Tomorrow is also Bobbies baby shower for baby Uno. That should be cool too. So our weekend is pretty much booked.
With Matt and I, I have found that we usually have our weekend booked by Wednesday. So if you guys want to play with us on the weekends we might be booked if you call too late haha. J/k Anyways that's all for today nothing exciting going on...

What do you guys think?
So at our Young Women and Young Men's activity last night I had a hard time. No one knew but I did. It was the Young Men's turn to plan the activity. As Leaders we always try and be there about 10 minutes early to get all the kids in the Primary room and set up chairs and so on. So I found about 4 girls in the gym I took them into the Primary room and we set up. We sat down for a while with no Young Men or their leaders to be found.
Finally about 10 minutes after Seven one leader came in with a box, it was Pictionary and he sat down. At about 15 after I thought you know what we need to start before all my girls leave. So I said to the other leader "How about getting this party started eh? " He said "ohh well since I don't have any Young Men here why don't you get it started." So I quickly organized song prayer theme and so on. After that one or two other leaders had come in with a whole bunch of chips, salsa, cookies, soda, fruit, veggies and so on. Then a couple Young Men came in.
The original Men's leader split us up into teams about 4 teams and we wrote down something that had to do with church on a piece of paper and put it in a bowl. There was nothing explained then we started playing. A few more Young men came in and they decided to be in and out of the room the whole time never really sat down. The boys when they were in there weren't even playing the game they were yelling, goofing off, and teasing each other. It was clear that the Young Men's leaders didn't want to take charge so I found myself as well as the the Young woman's President having to step up and make sure everyone was ready before we started drawing and so on. Then the Young Men leaders started joking around and not starting right cheating and so on thinking they are being funny.
After thinking that they might want to step up one of the Young Men leaders said to one of the boys "Hey you need to stay in here" and the kid promptly responded with "No I don't" grabbed a cookie and left. After about 15 minutes we hear a huge slam against the side of the church and know its the Young Men, the leaders just sat there. I am thinking " Are you guys seriously just going to sit there while these 12-14 year old boys run free in the halls of a church and trash it?" After a long pause the Young Men's president got up and meandered out and apparently told the boys to leave. They didn't leave of course and by the end of the activity which we as Young Women had to clean up they were still running around in the gym and so on. The Leaders told them to leave finished helping us clean up and then left themselves.
It took everything in my power not to get up and reprimand those boys myself. If they don't want to do the activity they need to leave. The biggest issue is that the "ring leader" of the group pf boys isn't even LDS and doesn't want to come to church. So do you tell him to not come anymore and concentrate on the less active kids that are coming to activities? Man tough call. But I was SOO annoyed last night that the leaders weren't being more active in that part. I am such a hands on control type of person that I thought that activity was a total failure. The other frustrating part is when I am planning activities for both YM and YW, I want to do what I want to do and have back up from all the leaders to make it a success I don't want to have to try and control your boys or plan around them... okay okay enough whining anyone have any suggestions on what I or we as a Young Women's Presidency should do?
OHH and give yourself a pat on the back for reading all this complaining!

Babysitting!
Okay so Matt got much better yesterday. In the morning he was still a little weak but went to work. Once his boss found out he had been uhh violently ill the day previous she told him to go home didn't matter if he felt better or not. So Matt stopped by my work and then went home to trade cars and drop his off at the shop while he did homework at Kristin and Wills. He did straight homework until 2 then he played tennis a bit on the Wii. I got down there around 6 ish we ate yummy Chinese food for dinner. Then Will and Kristin left the kids with us while they ran to WalMart. I was on Jason Duty Matt was on Sierra duty. Not a likely match but we did fine haha. Jason likes the camera for sure i told him to lay down next to me and he was right down there ready before I laid down! After Will and Kristin got back we played the Wii again. Matt and I won in Tennis, then Will and Matt boxed sad to say Matt lost but I beat Kristin the next time around then she beat me. So I guess we are all even.

On a more serious note... LOOOK AT MY HAIR! ITS AWFUL! Who wants to do my hair? Trish I know you are Pregnant but are you still up for doing hair? Yeesh I am dying with these nasty roots.
My mother also officially sched our cruise, we are going on the 10/11-18 of May I think. We are doing the Caribbean cruise and hitting up Disney world. Should be a fun little vacation! Hopefully my mom will give me more details soon. I am excited!

Weekend Bullet Points
~ Friday we actually for the first time in our married lives bought PIZZA for dinner. Isn't that funny? We got Papa Murphys Chicago style Pizza. It was so good! We watched a movie and had a root beer float for dessert. Normally we would have gone down to Orem but Matt now has school on Saturday mornings 8-11.
~Saturday as I was cleaning I got a phone call saying that the Women were short for the Church Basketball team and the game was in 40 minutes. So after thhinking about it for about 30 minutes I decided I had better go play because Matt would be dissappointed if I had the chance to play and didnt. So I left him a note and went on up. We played late so Matt saw about half the game. I made a Three Pointer too! That was about all I did besides 2 other layups. I am really not a very good ball player.
~ We hit up Old Navy for their 50% off clearance stuff and I spent about 30 bucks. I got 2 pairs of sweats, a t~shirt, a sweater, a pair of dress pants and a long sleeve shirt for Matt. Good Deals! ~ We went down to BYU to watch the Mens Basketball team play CSU and Will got the chance of a life time to play in the 3 point game and he won 1000 bucks! See Kristins blog for more details on that. BYU beat CSU by quite a bit and we hung out the rest of the night at Kristin and Wills.
~ Matt woke me up early on Sunday morning telling me he was sick and we had to go home. I started driving and by the time we got to Bangerter Matt needed to pull over. So I pulled over and it all began. The rest of the day poor guy was in and out of the bathroom. Jason was sick on Thursday and Friday so we think Matt got it from him it was quick coming on! Anyways so we watched 2 of the 3 "Work and the Glory" movies and would have watched the 3rd if we had it.
It was a long day for me. I went to just Sacrament Meeting then came home. The rest of the day was folding laundry and such while Matt said "Mick help me I dont feel well" What do you do for a husband with the flu? I have no idea... anyways
This morning Matt went to work but I bet I will be getting a call shortly saying he is going home. He still wasnt feeling all that well this morning. Matt has had one rough week. Mine wasnt to shabby though. On to work now. Another day, Another Dollar.

Howdy Howdy Howdy
SOOOOO I have decided to get another camera. I want one with a way good zoom. I have my mind set on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3K its got an awesome zoom and is in Matt and I's price range. Wellll I ordered it through some website and it is on back order for another 4 weeks and after that I have to allow for 2-3 weeks shipping! That could take forever! So I think I am just going to have to pay a little bit more to have it this week then in 8 weeks. I mean Matt and I could all ready be on our cruise by then! Well we really don't know when we are going on a cruise but sometime sooner then later. What are the dates again mom? Sometime in March or in May? Anyways we just want another camera before then. That is why my blog is lacking in pictures lately.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping BORING and went to get Matt from school . We worked out then popped in "How to loose a guy in 10 days" That movie seriously cracks me up! Needless to say it was passed my bedtime half way through though and I fell asleep so Matt woke me up and I went right up to bed... I don't know what we will be doing tonight probably fixing MORE of my Jeep. Poor Matt left a light on and ran the battery dead. SO we will be changing oil and changing the battery. One day that Jeep will be back in business.. Whelp I think that is about it in the World of the Spence's... Hope all are doing well! :)

What happened You ask?
So Okay let me tell you about the play first. It was yet again at the Hale Center Theatre we went and saw "Lend me a Tenor" It was really cute. It was about a famous opera singer coming from Italy to sing at the Cleavland Opera house. After a lot of mix ups someone else fakes he is him and so on and so forth. I thought it was great Matt said it was just okay. We actually got 3 tickets and had to leave an empty seat next to us. SUZANNE YOU COULD HAVE COME TOO!!! Anyways so that is what happened Monday night it was a good FHE.
Tuesday Matt went to school and when he got home he wanted to play basketball, after BYU failed so miserably against Wake Forest... Geez that was a BAD game. Anyways so I went with him and I was planning out my Young Women activities. All the sudden I hear a groan and I thought oh no that one is mine... And lo and behold there was Matt holding his leg, cant walk and so on... Yep you guessed it he sprained that SAME ankle as last year. Poor guy. So we tried to go to insta-care but they closed at 10 so yesterday we went to the Doctor to get x~rays. Normally we would have not gone but Matt said this time hurt WAY worse then last time. It was just a bad sprain again though but the doctor said next time he will probably snap the ligament in his angle so he needs to be really good about strengthening it up and so on. So Matt stayed home because he could barely walk and he convinced me to stay home too. It was great! The swelling went down a whole lot. I am glad last time it was swollen for a loooong time. I dusted, did laundry, dishes, and cleaned. I could take a day off everyweek to do that... seemed so relaxing! Anyways so Matt went to school that night and hobbled to class he was a half hour late because of snow and so on...
I had my Young Womens activity last night as well. It was Chrissies idea for the Stuck in the Snow. We made little scarfs and had questions in fortune cookies. I took all the old fortunes out and put the other ones in like stuck in the snow questions that Chrissie had then I added a few of my own that had to do with personal progress. I thought it was great. The girls were SOO excited to make scarfs we had 12 girls come! We ended at about 8:05 and the girls were all confused. I guess the stake wants us to end sooner then later when the girls are in school. I was so shocked though we didnt call and remind the girls or anything. I thought I might be short on fleece even but I had just enough for 12. I think things might be working all these missionary efforts the last 4 months. We started out with no one showing up to activities or church and now we have at least 6 or 7 girls to activities and about 3 or 4 to church. YAY!
Also apparently last activity when Matt had to drop something off to me the girls thought Matt was a priest. He was there for maybe 15 seconds... He won their hearts in 15 seconds. I had all these girls giggling and whippering at me yesterday the whole time and I couldnt figure it out. I kept thinking is my fly down? Do I have a big black mark on my face? Finally at the end of the activity they told me they had something to tell me but no one would say it I thought "What is going on?" and the the oldest of the 3 or 4 said "Your husband is SOOOO cute!" What how do you take that? Uh thanks? Anyways I told Matt and his reaction was "Do I really look that Young? I am almost 25!" I just thought that was hilarious... 12 year olds think a 25 year old is cute. Man that is wrong. Matt wont be showing up to any YW Activites for a long time that is for sure.

Weekend REEEEEECAP and bonus recipe yay!
This last weekend seemed to fly by! Friday night we went down to Will and Kristin's and played the Wii, then we had to leave because Matt is in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program and had to take his "Little Brother" sledding.
While he was gone in the morning I stayed home and CLEAN CLEAN CLEANED! I like cleaning once I actually do it. It is one of those small things that you can see instant results and feel instantly better. I got the down stairs SPOTLESS including baseboards light switches and such. Matt came home while I was cleaning our room so I didn't get around to the room Suzanne stayed in ( Miss ya sis )
But at least most of my living area was clean. Once Matt got home we went to the Jordan River Temple and had a wonderful time. It is so peaceful there and with life getting so crazy sometimes it is nice to just sit, relax, and ponder.
We wanted to stop off at IKEA and look around for a bit for Matt to get ideas for him to build me a Headboard but Matt insisted we didn't have enough time. We got down to Kristin and Wills and instantly him and Jason were playing / playing on the Wii. So its beyond me why we "didn't have enough time"
Anyways but then we hung out while Matt and Will went on their "Man-Date" haha And they watched I am Legend. Matt said it was AWESOME so I guess its two thumbs up on the Guy scale.
We had to go home AGAIN that night because we needed to stop off at the store to get my Zuppa ingredients and I had meetings for church early early.
Sunday I had meetings while Matt slept and read and we went to church then joined up with my family at my Grandparents house for Soup and Scones. I made Olive Gardens Zuppa Tuscana. It is my favorite soup. OK is everyone ready for the recipe?
3/4 c Onion
2-3 slices bacon
1 1/4 t. minced garlic
4 c water
3 T Chicken Base ( I like better than bullion)
4 Med. sliced Potatoes
2 C Kale
1 3/4 c cooked SPICY/HOT Sausage ( i use jimmydeans HOT sausage)
1 c heavy whipping cream
Chop onion very small and chop bacon up small. Cook over medium heat until onion is almost clear, then add minced garlic. Cook for one more minute. In large pot put in Water Chicken Base and Potatoes( no need to peel just slice thin), then add your cooked bacon onion and garlic. Simmer for 15 minutes, then add your chopped Kale, cooked Sausage and whipping cream. Simmer for another 5 minutes and its ready to serve.

Although, When I make it I add more potatoes, more sausage, and more bacon. Matt likes a lot of substance to his soup. Also it doesn't matter if you use bullion cubes or even chicken broth from a can (just adjust for the water). I also use just whipping cream instead of HEAVY because who needs more calories right? ha ha the recipe is really easy and if you need more just add more water, chicken base, and cream. It is very yummy too especially in the winter!
Okay so Sunday night yet again we went over to Will and Kristin's. (Matt just HAD to be a tennis PRO) Plus Jason was LOVING LIFE that Matt kept coming over. At one point Kristin told Jason it was time for bed so he ran over to Matt grabbed him arms and put them around him so Kristin couldn't grab him. It was so funny. Like Matt is going to save you from going to bed ha ha. Anyways so Matt became a pro in tennis and we went home... I'll blog about the play we went to last night later or something I have 11 minutes before work starts and I still need to do my hair!

My Sisters My Friends

You know when you are a little kid and your mom says "You better be nice to your sister one day she'll be your best friend." I always would laugh and say "no way! I have way too many other friends then to be best friends with her or her!" Whelp its official, My sisters are my best friends. I love them dearly, I value their opinions, they teach me, and laugh with me. Whenever they are sad, I am sad, when ever they are happy, I am happy. I want to help whenever I can and it is heart wrenching when I don't know how to help or feel like they need to do it on their own. I am sad that Suzanne is moving out today. I don't feel like I got enough Suzanne-Mickie bonding time but we have a lifetime for that. I have a framed picture of my sisters and it says "I smile because you are my sister, I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it!" It is so true! They are the bestest friends anyone could ask for.
Well I've got to get to work as usual.
Hope you are having a loverly new year! Oh and Colton where are those videos??? I want to see them on my big computer screen!

Happy New Year
I dont know if all of you have seen this I thought it was pretty good. :) HAHA

Hey all Happy New Year! Have you all set your resolutions? I have had a few mulling around in my head but none have made it on paper. Soon they will be.
Yesterday Nate Kelly and Tanner, Suzanne and Nate, Kristin Will Jason and Sierra, and Matt and I went bowling at Jack and Jill's. It was a long wait so while we were waiting Kristin watched Will and I "dance off" on the Dance Dance Revolution. Will picked a really slow song that was quite annoying so I picked the "Wookie Wookie in the kitchen" song whatever that one was.
We bowled and I got a 98, not respectable at all! I only closed one frame. I blame it on the right handed ball, being left handed really is that much tougher. Actually I have been wondering is there anyone else that is left handed in the family? I haven't noticed anyone else besides Suzanne but she bowls right handed, just wondering. Anyways BUT Matt bowled a 200 that was pretty dang good, I think its was all the Wii bowling that helped him.
We did play a lot of Wii with everyone as well, we also played Cranium where Suzanne Nate and Travis won. Poor Travis we went bowling to early so he wasn't able to join us. But we played Guesstures as well and Kristin Nate Suzanne Will and Travis won. Dang I didnt win all weekend!
It was also fun to watch Tanner and Jason play this week. Tanner cant quite walk yet but boy can he crawl! So he would chase Jason, and Jason would run after him. Hitting, Scratching, and not sharing were also involved but hey they are both the oldest and don't yet have siblings they need to share anything with. I am sure in the next year both will be much better sharers.. haha
Whelp that's all for today tonight is the "Young Women's Calender" Activity so I get to pack up all my clothes and we'll see how it goes... I am just hoping I get all my stuff back hmmmm
