Party time!

We had our Christmas Party last night, it was a little early in the year for it but it was still lovely. We had it at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building so it was gorgeous! The food was great and the company was better. I really am thankful for my job and the people I work with they are all awesome. You couldn't ask for better owners. With the market slowing they are determined to retain all the employees that work here even when other title company's are letting go a third to half of their staffs even during this holiday season. Also, they have scrimped and saved to still give a little bonus for the end of the year, which I thought wouldn't even happen. Darrell and Jim are wonderful great men who really do care about thier employees and customers. Just thought I would brag about the company I work for...
I better get going though property taxes are due today, that means it will be busy busy!

Long Weekend

First of all I would like to say Congrats to Nate and Kelly, another little Niece or Nephew will be great! I am excited.
The other reason I am happy and excited is............ Yes GO COUGARS!!! Mountain West Conference CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! I love it. I have footage and I'll have to post it tomorrow because my camera battery was almost dead and I didn't have my charger with me this morning. Kristin will probably have to tell you about how her and Will got in. But it was great fun and I am VERY glad that the outcome was good. I would have been razzed around the office for weeks had they lost. It was yet again another good game.

Thanksgiving was great as well being around family and friends is always nice. I really didn't take any pictures there I am sure most everyone else did so surf around and I sure you will find some. We played football, which is Matt's most favorite part, went bowling, played with Holly and Eric's Wii and ate yummy yummy food. Let me tell you come Friday, Matt and I were sore! It was a lot of fun though.

Suzanne, Colton, Seth, (Colton's friend who lives with my parents) and Kenzie (our cousin on the Bragg side) Slept over at Wal*Mart to get the good deals. I got a present for Tanner and that is about it. Other people I hear got some good deals like Holly and her Cordless Guitar Colton snagged for her. You'll have to ask Holly or Colton about that story.

Friday Matt and I worked and we hung out with family again we missed out on Arts Quiksilver discount, we'll have to wait a little bit then to finish up our Christmas shopping there. Friday night BYU basketball beat #6 ranked Louisville and on Saturday night they were SO CLOSE to beating #1 ranked UNC they ended up losing by ten but they pulled away with seconds left in the game. The whole game was so close!

All and all the weekend was great my voice has been on and off all weekend because of all the fun and I think I might be coming down with something. Last night Matt and I went to bed at 9:30 it was great. Now it back to work... I'll post pictures and videos tomorrow.

Dentist

So ever since I was a kid I have hated the dentist. Not the actual dentist, just how he puts his fingers in my mouth and pulls and drills and uses that sucker thing. Its bad, well usually I require triple the amount of Novocaine that the average person does because if i feel a tinge of "pressure" then i jump a mile high in the chair. Well ever since we moved to Herriman we use Dr. Bromley. He is GREAT! I never feel a thing he always has a good movie ready for me and when he sees tears welling up in my eyes before he give me the Novocaine (I dont do needles) he just keeps on going when he sees my eyes filling with tears. (Yes is still cry and I am 22). Haha See mom, you and dad don't have to hold my arms, legs, and head anymore! Yay! I think this was the first time I went to go get a filling by myself too. What a grown up I am :). Although half my face was numb still when I got to work and I came to find that someone switched my whole computer from BYU to Utah everything. Haha Haha so funny Mike Ross. Oh and here is the syrup, nothing exciting just the world highest block stack ever that i did over the weekend.

Apple Butter

So last night for Young Women's we made Apple Butter. There wasn't enough for the leaders to take home so I got home and thought Heck why don't I make some. So I had Suzanne and Nate run me down to Smiths to buy some Apples.
Here's the deal, You get about uhhh 7-8 apples skin them and cut them up into about 1/2 inch pieces and put them in your Crock Pot along with 1-2 cups sugar (depending on how many apples you want/have) and 2 tsp Cinnamon and 1 tsp Crushed Cloves. Then you let it cook for 8 hours on low. I came down this morning to a very festive smelling house, and I mashed up my apples. I turned off the crock pot and now I am letting it cool and sit so its not so runny. I'll try it tonight and let you all know how it turns out tomorrow. I made a lot so many of you I will make try it... :) HAHA ohhh and also while I was making it last night I filled a little pot with water and put my apple peelings in it with sprinkles of Nutmeg, Cloves, and Cinnamon and let it boil. That made my house smell really good last night as well. Ohh how fun is this season! ( Really I ran out of festive smelling candles and I wanted my house to smell good)

Anyways my grandparents come back from Peru today so during lunch I get to go see them at the Airport! Yay!

Sierra Hallie Wu

Little Sierra was born this afternoon around 12:30 she was 5 lbs 8 oz and 17 inches long. She was very swollen for the first little bit. I only took a few pictures she was born so quickly that Kristin and Will didn't even have the camera for the delivery. Will is going to post more in the morning. She is cute in her own special way and has little blond highlights in her hair that made her mom and uncle Troy very happy... Here she is! Mom and baby are both doing great, Kristin has the easiest time with delivery.. Easy....I am jealous...

to be or not to be that is the question

So Matt and I woke up at 4 am to a phone call from Will asking us to come down. Kristin was having contractions about 2 minutes apart this morning. The second Matt and I walked in at 4:40 ish she stopped having them... well not completely they are all about 10 minutes apart now. She is still having them and has decided to go into Labor and Delivery this morning and see if they will either brake her water for her or else just induce her a day early. We'll see luckily I all ready had the day off because the banks and the county are closed today. I'll keep you all updated on if today is little Sierras day. When Matt an I were driving down I saw a shooting star so I wished that it was Sierras birthday... we shall see :)

Go Mighty Cougars!

Last night we sat in the Loge, which are the high up box seats at the BYU game. It was great! A perfect game to score those seats. Matt and I got there and we had one extra ticket, we gave one of ours to Nate. So Matt was trying to get rid of it so he walked up to this guy and he said you need a ticket? He said no I have some I am trying to sell but no one is buying. Matt said oh and the guy said Here take mine. He had 4 tickets right in a row. So Matt then had 5 tickets so he held them up and a guy came up to him and said Hey you don't have four in a row do ya? Matt said uhhhh yeah I do. The guy said can I give ya 20$ for them? Matt said sure and here is another ticket that I have that I don't want. So yay! We got rid of our ticket! So up in the Loge they have tons of different kinds of Food Drinks and Desserts. Allan (the manager here at Meridian) set up a tab. So at half time we got a few snacks and in the third quarter we got ice cream. Of course I ate a little and was done Matt ate all of his. We also got free beanies up there! It was a good game and we won 27-22. We got home late and now I am back to work. On to the WEEKEND!

This is Matt

I stand corrected, apparently. I was just informed that there is a language that is spoken by all bloggers, not understood by us outsiders. I thought it would be fun to post a "comment." I soon learned that my interpretation of comment, according to bloggers, is incrediably WRONG! My lovely wife corrected me by saying that a comment is a response to a "blog." I want to first appologize to Mickie for any imbarrassment she may have received, from my ignorance. I assure you, it was a simple mistake. Then I went to the dictionary to look up the words comment and blog. Comment- remark, observation, criticism, or note of explanation. Blog- write entries, or add material. Even though I feel like the word "Blogg," is a word created by the american people, who also created words like, "for shizzy" and "narly," I will try to use the correct lingo, on this site. Although, this blog entry, would be more of an observation of what I have learned and a remark to my wifes criticism, so I will call this one a comment.

Hey all in Blogger land!

So I feel like I am going to YACK! The Cougs play TCU tonight... I have been so graciously given EXCELLENT seats, Good enough where I am in the warm and can eat Ice cream in the third quarter! ( well Matt eats mine because unfortunately I don't like Ice Cream much... I know I know I must not be a Coombs... ) BUT those Horned Frogs handed New Mexico quite a loss on Saturday so lets hope those Cougs have improved over the last few days of practice. Should be a good game. Lets hope the offense can get in sync earlier in the game then later. Even you Utah fans should want BYU to win because that makes the next few games even bigger!

Work is going well, things are slowing a bit in the industry because of the sub prime market falling and so forth but Meridian is a really good company. They don't have any debt so all we have to make sure is that we make payroll and a little bit more and we should be okay. A lot of other title company's have been laying people off like crazy, Meridian has said they will try their very hardest not to let anyone go while the market is like this. Sharon hasn't slowed down a whole bunch because we work so closely with Garbett Homes, they built Matt and I's house.

Matt has finished all his tests for this week and thinks he did fairly well on all of them. Lets keep our fingers crossed. Matt and I have been really looking at BYU's MBA program where Matt so desperately wants to go. We found the average GPA is about a 3.5 ish. Matt can do that for sure it is just all the other things we worry about. We have a while before he applys to the program but it is always good to be on top of it.... Enough of my ramblings...

Story Time

So I have A co-worker named Jared. He has a son named Jordan who is 3. One night Jared was putting Jordan to bed and he read him a Dr Suess book. As we all know Dr. Suess does a lot of rhyming. About 5 minutes later Jordan came into Jared's bedroom he said "Dad I cant get into bed!"
Jared said "Why?"
He said "I have too many animals in by bed. "
Jared knowing he has an imaginary elephant friend named Sox, walked into Jordan's room and said looking at the bed "Sox you have to get out of bed Jordan needs to sleep."
Then Jordan said "There are more animals in there!"
Jared said "who else?"
Jordan said "There are three monkeys!"
He said "okay what are your monkeys names?"
"... Saggy, Faggy and Maggy."
Chuckling a little Jared said okay "All monkeys out of the bed!"
Then Jordan said "Well Dad there are two more ducks in there, but not like the duck that we have outside." ( they own a duck and a couple chickens)
Jared said "What are the ducks names?"
Jordan promptly responded with " Ducky and Fu#ky"
Jared had had a hard day and at that point he was just laughing...
So he said "All right Ducky and Fu%ky get out of the bed."
Jordan then hopped into bed and Jared walked out of the room into his room.
He turned to his wife Misty and said "Misty have you met Jordan's New imaginary friends?"
She said "yes" and he said "do you know their names?"
and she said "uh huh...and I have NO idea what to do about it..." They both are still stumped on what to do with their sons imaginary friend.

Hilarious! What do you do with that! Your 3 year old names his imaginary duck that? I guess its good that he is rhyming right? HAHAHA I cant wait to be a parent...

Basketball & Football

Matt and I went to the BYU Men's Basketball home opener game against Laval (some Canadian team) on Friday night. It was pretty fun we left with 5 minutes left int he game score was 70 something to 45. Those poor Canadians weren't playing to well. It must have been a french Canadian team too cause all their names your Francois i don't even know how to spell that. If they weren't that is sounded really close to that. BYU has a lot of work to do. They looked really sloppy. Luckily with Basketball they have a ton of games to play to improve. Hopefully this year is better then last years March Madness struggle.

Saturday Matt Will Jason and I went down to the field by Will and Kristin's house to throw some discs around. Matt and Will are both trying to work on some new driving techniques. Matt has a 360 involved in his, i didn't think it was very accurate...

After that we went over to the football game. Travis babysat Jason. The weather was GORGEOUS for a football game. All of us even got some sun! Kristin got sunburned, how funny. BYU won of course. They played CSU who has only won 1 of the last (well now) 16 games. I feel bad for teams like that. Their wide outs couldn't have been taller that 5'7" and weighed more than 160. Little guys, slippery at some points but mostly just small compared to our smaller then average corners who are only about 5'11". ANYWAYS enough football talk. The game was fun. We came home and the guys went frolfing while the weather was great and Kristin and I went to go Sierra some clothes. I would say Kristin has dropped the ball on this "girl " baby thing. Poor Sierra doesn't have any clothes! We bought her a Sunday dress and a cute little shirt. Other then that she has onesys. That is okay for the first couple months anyways.

Sunday was Baylees baby blessing that Matt and I couldn't make it to. Suzanne and Nathaniel went though and Suzanne said that she got some pictures so hopefully I can get one of her in her blessing gown. She is almost 2 months old and I cant even believe it! Cant wait to meet her at Thanksgiving! Our Sunday consisted of Church and me helping Matt with some flashcards for his econ. class. How exciting! Not! Well hope all are feeling well, you did get an extra hour of sleep!
Ohh an here is a picture of my arm. I don't bruise very easily at all and this is 4 days later. It is still black, green, and blue. I should have taken a picture a day later but it was really nasty and swollen then. Now you all have proof that is did fall down the stairs.

Here they are!~

So here are the pictures I didn't take many yesterday. The first one is of Nathias who is my co~worker and Jason Ivins who is one of the attorneys who we work with alot. Jason is a Cougar fan but he thought he would be funny and be a Utes Fan. I thought it was pretty clever, he has a mullet wig on and fake tat sleeves on. HAHA No offense to you Ute fans I just thought it was great. Nate didn't care either.
Next is of Tori and I on sports day.
The last is of Suzanne and I aren't we the biggest geeks? I think you can see my tonsils in that picture. haha... too much chocolate for me. Matt and Nate (Suzanne's boy friend) didn't dress up! Matt never does, and Nate works construction so dressing up would have been hard. Anyways we watched casino Royale last night. I like that movie, oh and I fell down the stairs that hurt pretty bad. I have a nice big ole bruise on my arm, my back, and my bum... well not sure about my back and my bum (they haven't surfaced yet). Yeah so after that I really didn't feel like going anywhere last night. Hope everyone had a safe Halloween! Now lets see everyone else's pictures!
