Squirt Guns

Last Saturday Matt bought an eight pack of squirt guns for $2. Best $2 spent this year!!! Okay, maybe not but the kids are sure loving the little guns.

Matt is building a little three cube bench for the kids to put their toys in little bins to hide in the bench for the play room. While he's been out there building the kids were playing.

The following morning the kids went out to play in their Pajamas. Then I heard Ty using the outside faucet, then I saw naked kids. They got wet and stripped down. Normally I would tell them to put clothes back on, but it was warm enough, they were in our back yard and heck they were super cute!
Oh and this little Gem for good measure. Emma is training nicely to smile for the camera. Maylee and Emma are little buddies all ready. They lie down next to one another all the time and May ALWAYS makes sure Emma has a Paci, a Toy and a Blanket... at ALL times. It's actually pretty handy.

Maylee has been singing for about a month now, well... We think. I couldn't tell for a while there that that is what she was doing, but now that we know it's adorable.

While Matt was building in the Garage one night, he made a ramp for Ty. I was worried, and he did eat it right after I turned off the camera. It wasn't bad though so he got back up and kept doing it.

Washington Park

Last Wednesday we went to Portland to meet some friends of ours in the middle so to speak (they live in Beaverton I believe). Our kids Birthdays are with in DAYS of one another for #1 and #2. When I was surprised with pregnancy #3 she was one of the first people I told outside of family. Really it was to ask if she was pregnant. She was not, but you know what? She is now, and she is due Oct. 6th, with in DAYS of Emma's due date, just a year late. Funny huh!

Anyway, our kids seem to play pretty darn well with one another and it's always nice to meet up with an old friend and let your hair down a bit. We know each other quite well, doesn't matter that we don't see each other super often.

The kids spent about half the time playing in the sand box.
Denali on the swing, having a grand ole time. Doesn't Savannah look great? She'll find out the sex of her #3 in May (i'm guessing girl but I have no idea) Wait, Savannah are you finding out the sex?
 Denali!
Carter boy, doing his own thing.
Ty, always the gentlemen picking me flowers everywhere he goes.
 Miss Maylee exploring.
Notice how much bigger Denali is than Ty? Yeah she is super tall! I keep thinking Ty is a shorty pants but turns out almost all his friends are quite big for their age. These two liked playing with one another I think.
Yep Emma was there too, being ushered around in her princess stroller.
It was a really nice day!

Hopefully we can make it a more frequent thing to hang out with the Fox's, we had a great time chatting a playing :)

A Bragg Family Visit

Last week the Bragg's came to stay with us. Ty was over the moon excited to have his cousins come to play with him. Britany actually grew up just a few miles from our home here. So they stayed with us while they visited her family. We did get to see them quite a bit in the mornings though before they left. For some reason Ty did NOT want his picture taken this go round.

Dean was cracking me up all week with his pillow obsession. He just walked around the house collecting pillows. He LOVES them!
Oh and whenever you do anything for him or take anything away or redirect him anywhere his immediate response is always "NO! Wait!!" HA!
 Baylee
 Maylee
 Laycee
 Emma bug just hanging out.
Lunch time! Right after these pictures Britany did the girls' hair, shoulda waited...
 Laycee
 Dean with his sandwich face.
H was helping Emma... not sure why I caught him with GOOGLY eyes. Haha

It was so fantastic to have them here with us! The weather was fairly decent and the kids got a LOT of good cousin play time in. When they left last Saturday morning Ty asked H.D. why they were leaving. H said he had to get back to work and school. Ty informed him that he shouldn't work and go to school so far away and that he needed to live here so he could play everyday. That sounds about right :) Maybe some day we'll have cousins closer, but for now we'll enjoy the visits immensely when they come!

Fisher Basin Park Lunch Break

Last week we met some friends (The Walkers) at the park for lunch. It was a LOVELY day and this little man was soakin' up the rays.
Meet the newest Walker boy Eli.
Steph got up and played with the kids. Isn't she awesome? Eli is what 4 weeks old at this point and she's pushing the boys on swings. Man, i felt like a slacker putting myself on Baby duty.
But I will say, I never like getting too far away from this lady. She was getting into EVERYTHING on the blanket. Bags, cups, shoes... nothing was off limits to her.
Sam and Austin took a lunch (more like snack) break. Who has time to eat much when you're at the playground!
Matt and Ryan came with Smoothies. I think that was the longest that the boys came around, so they could drink half of their Dad's Smoothies.

We're lovin' the weather this April. Hoping it continues to stay nice! Tomorrow we are meeting MORE friends at a park in Portland. I'm sure i'll get some pictures there, it's near the Portland Rose Gardens where were going :)

Overtime and pterodactyls

Matt has been working a lot of overtime lately, not sure exactly why, just busy. It's a good thing I suppose. Matt brought me home flowers and told me that the overtime pay was not worth it at all, that he would most definitely rather be home with me and the kids.  (Wait where is my husband and who replaced him with this romantic one! I'll take it!)

I am such a sucker for spring Tulips. Lovely pink and white ones.

.

One night after a late night for Matt he got a little wrestle time in with the kids. We noticed right away that Emma was a bit protective of her older brother. Almost every time Matt had Ty pinned down Emma let out her Pterodactyl scream. Weird, whenever May is pinned she's okay but the second Ty looks like he's losing the upper hand Emma was upset.

Ty has decided he really likes "showing" Maylee how to ride her trike. Where is Maylee you ask?
She took the back seat. They ride around like this all the time. Maylee knows how to ride now~just not very fast yet.
During our efforts to chunk up the Miss, really all she wants it fruits and veggies! UGH! Pick something with CALORIES LADY! Oh well, she ate this entire bowl of Strawberries after dinner the other night. Girl loves to eat!

We bought Les Miserables. Ty LOVES "On My Own" he listens to it on youtube all the time over and over and over. This video was the first time that he saw the movie of her singing instead of just her picture. I think he's in love with Eponine.

I'm learning more and more how tenderhearted and concerned for others my little guy is, from what I hear, his Dad was a very similar little boy too :)

Sunny Day!

This Bumbo is Emma's FAVORITE place to be. She is always SO happy when she sits in it!
Here are a crazy amount of Emma pictures again. Ty and Maylee took advantage of a warm morning last Monday and went outside for about 3 hours. I exercised and took pictures of the babe. She is wearing the same outfit that Maylee wore at her 1 year photo shoot. Cute stuff!

I couldn't QUITE get the settings I wanted in the super bright sun, but I think I got a good shot or two. Maylee enjoying her time outside.
Brother and Sister, man I love those cute faces.
Every night either Matt or I tell one another, "Man we've got some awesome kids." Each one is awesome. I think we're in love.

The Tale of Maylee and Emma

So, we took Maylee in for her 2 year check up. She is 18.6 lbs and 30.5" tall. She's not on the charts... well, 0.01% for her height. Meaning if you line her up with 10,000 other 2 year olds, she'd be the shortest one.

Our pediatrician came in and talked to us about it. She said that she is TOTALLY fine when kids are off the charts, as long as they follow their own growth curve. Maylee is even falling off her OWN growth curve. She's gained only (I think) .5 lbs since her 18 month check up. (She is pictured here in her new 12 mo. size dress that we bought her for her birthday)

Doc ordered some blood work, she wanted to cancel out any thyroid or celiacs issues. We talked about Maylee's eating... and how she eats just as much if not more than Ty does. She is a very good eater, veggies, fruits, carbs, proteins... so where are all these calories going!

Poor Maylee went into the Lab to get blood drawn. Luckily Matt was with us for this appointment and could go with her. I am not a huge needle fan to begin with let alone having to hold the little lady on my lap and tell her it will be okay. Matt is much better suited for that. They drew some blood then May's vein collapsed and they had to go to the other side. Matt said she actually did really well with it all. Notice in the pictures below the double arms wrapped. That smile is cracking me up, almost a little evil looking haha.

Blood work all came back normal. (Yay, or maybe not?) We scheduled Emma's 6 month appointment for the 23rd of this month. The Doctor told us to TRY and MAKE Maylee gain weight. Feed her as much as we can and try to fatten her up, when we bring Emma in for her appointment we'll weigh Maylee. If she still hasn't gained any weight then the Doc wants us to take her to a Pediatric specialist because she really is THAT small. I think she is healthy and normal developmentally with physical coordination, metal and social aspects it's just her size. She remains proportionate too. We'll see what we decide when Emma's appointment rolls around what we want to do with Maylee. For now we've found some Lactose Free Breyers Ice Cream that she's been eating almost nightly. We're making a lot of Avocado dips and trying to get her to drink Carnation Instant Breakfast too (which for some reason she isn't much of a fan) The girl STILL wears 12 month clothes comfortably, the SAME clothes she wore last summer she'll still wear this summer. Fingers crossed for a growth spurt because little sis is hot on her tail.

Speaking of Emma, she's my perfect little model while I try and figure out this DSLR camera. We weighed her at Maylee's appointment out of curiosity, and she was 16.1 lbs. HA! Only 2 lbs 5 ounces less then May! She fits perfectly in all 9 month clothes. 6 months stuff is fitting a little snug all ready.

Ohhhhhhh I love this baby. Love Love LOVE this little baby. I think I single-handedly chap her cheeks each day because of my constant kisses.
I'll try to remember to post Emma's 6 month stats after her next appointment and we'll keep ya'll posted on Maylee's weight.

P.S. if you see May and have anything super fattening on you, go ahead and feed it to her, I don't mind. The girl ate ALL of my Easter candy in almost one sitting. She's GOTTA gain SOMETHING from that right?
