Disneyland Phone Pictures Saturday

We got up at 4 am to go to our run. Matt myself and my mom. It was an EARLY wake up call.

We ran with a big group of friends and it was fantastic.
The beginning of the race wasn't my favorite, they had some race announcers just blabbing away. I wanted music! It was fun though to chat with friends getting ready. Matt was in the A group, so he went in the first wave, we went the B wave (we snuck in that group we were supposed to be in the C Group.
Selfies while running is hard to do! I kept my phone in my sock and it kept falling down due to my sweaty leg. I count stop though. I knew if I stopped I wouldn't want to start again. The first 2 miles are the hardest for me. Who wants to run? But after 2 or 3 miles I feel like I can run forever.  Until I hit 6 miles then I am ready to be done. I ran with my mom and Julie V. It was nice because Julie had a watch that could pace us. She reminded us every few minutes our pace. After about 4 miles or so I started breaking away from my mom and Julie, not on purpose, I figure I just had a little more in the tank. So I ran by myself. It was surprisingly magical to run through the park before it opens. All the janitor crews come out and cheer, everything is all lit up, the sunrise and music playing in the park... Makes me smile remembering it. My only downfall is I didn't look at the race map very closely... I couldn't gauge the finish so I had no kick! Matt saw me right before the end and cheered for me.  Apparently my mom knew the end though, she and Julie made up serious time and finished only seconds behind me!
Left to right: Julie Sunni, me, Jill, Jacque and my mom (on her tippy toes!)

My finishing time was 1:06.24 and Matt's was 51:33. Matt felt good about his race, he said he could have done better, but was happy with what he did. I think I could have gone faster too, but I was happy as well. My mom PR'ed which was great!

As I was walking back through the race to go back to the hotel, miraculously Matt found me at the finish like. There are thousands of people there and he found me! So we got a picture.

We walked back to our hotel and got the kids ready for their races. Everyone but Gracie was racing. Having never done the kids races we didn't know what to expect. It was a little crazy.the kids didn't race really, it was more like a parade. I went with Emma. She would only go if I held her hand. Then Matt went with Maylee and Ty. Ty raced ahead and Maylee ran with Matt. We didn't have any communication so we missed Ty completely! He was grouchy too because his race was too short. So he pouted and would NOT take a picture with his medal.
My mom and dad were so patient during the kids races. ESPECIALLY my Dad. He was the champion of the WHOLE trip. He always looked like this. Happy to sit with kids.
We couldn't have done it so well with out him.

After the kids races we were supposed to go in to the park for a bit and play before the BYU football game. As we were walking I wasn't feeling so well, so I grabbed Hrave and headed back to shower change and get some sleep. The others didn't make it very far either though. They were tired and the kids were grouchy too, so they headed back as well. I think most of us got a nap. My mom and Matt got some pizza and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory right next to our hotel and we settled in to watch the Football game. Boy was it a game! Our beloved QB taysom hill was injured (again) and our back up Tanner Mangum had to take charge. It was back and forth and we won on a last second Hail Mary pass. I think the whole Hotel knew our rooms team won.

We went back to Disneyland and partied by eating Monte Cristos at the New Orleans Cafe in Disneyland.

After a lengthy wait due to separation... We eventually got to go on Indiana Jones and my Dad took the girls home to bed. As Ty and I were headed to Big Thunder mountain we ran Into Sunmi who had extra Fantasmic Tickets. She graciously shared so Ty could be with Bryson (her son Ty's age) and we watched the show. It was ... Well... Fantasmic! Ty was THRILLED! I wished the girls could have seen it too. I tried to get pictures but they weren't turning out well.
We went on big thunder mountain which was SO magical with the evening fireworks exploding while we rode, then my mom took Ty home. Matt and I stayed for one more ride on the Matterhorn.

It was such a wonderful magical trip! Weeks later I ask the kids about it and they still rember near every detail. Emma says her best day ever is riding the Ferris Wheel at Disneyland.

More camera pictures coming soon :)

Disneyland Phone Pictures Friday

Friday we stayed at Disneyland for the most part. First up was Dumbo!
The tea cups! Grandma is the only grown up who thought that was a good idea.
Much to Matt's dismay... It's a Small Workd! (Side note, I lost my phone on this ride. It was recovered and I went back and got it about an hour later. It was a stressful hour, but my faith in humanity was restored upon recovery)

It was Aloha Friday, per Jeff Dunn from Hawaii, so they made sure to help all the guys on the trip have Hawaiian shirts on.
Ty loved Splash Mountain with Dad and Grandma! Evan Lindsay and Halley joined with them.
Winnie the Pooh!
Train ride to the front of the park.
The girls did a lot of this while we were on the big rides. We switched up adults if all wanted to go.

Next up, Saturday Cell phone pictures!

Disneyland Phone Pictures Thursday

Guess what... We went to Disneyland! It was exhausting, tiring and all together perfectly magical.

I am SO happy we went with my parents. (Grandparents are the best) the 1:1 kid to adult ratio was perfectly ideal.

We went for three days, Thursday,
 Friday and Saturday.
Churros at downtown Disney.

Thursday we did California Adventures. There was a lot of this...
First ride... Ariel!
Toy Story, Maylee was my partner and she was a shooting master.
Carousel
Cars land!
Radiator Springs Racers!
Goofy! Gracie wanted to grab his face.
Jessie the yodeling cowgirl from Toy Story.
Emma fell asleep in the stroller. So Maylee and Gracie came with me into the animation studio, while my Dad stayed outside with her. We stumbled upon Anna and Elsa, there was no line and no fast passes needed. We had all the time we wanted. It was amazing. Maylee was just thrilled. It was adorable. Gracie doesn't have stranger danger at all, so while Elsa was talking to Maylee Gracie stuck with Anna and really wanted  her to hold her. I don't think they are allowed to hold babies... Gracie enjoyed her anyhow.
Ty, my Mom and Matt went on Tower of Terror. While we were waiting for them, we ran into to Olaf too! Maylee was on cloud nine!
Ty... Well he didn't like the tower of terror. Let's just say it did its job.
The paint the night parade was perfect. The kids were glued, and clapping and smiling the whole time.

Friday up Next!
