Matt had to fly home Wednesday morning for work. The kids and I stayed until Friday morning though.
Wednesday we shopped our little hearts out at some after Christmas Sales. We scored big at Old Navy and I got 6 Cardigans, 4 sweaters, a Shirt, 2 pair of flats, 4 shirts and a hoody for Emma, a shirt for Maylee, a zip up hoody and a another shirt for Ty all for the grand total of 84 bucks. Gotta love tax free shopping and good DEALZ!
That evening we were watching a movie and I heard Emma crying in the bedroom. I figured she was just hungry so I waited until her feeding time 20 minutes later. I walked in the room and with the lights off I couldn't find her where I had put her. I heard her though, I panicked for a split second while I flicked on the light. I heard her again then finally got on my hands and knees to find her. SHE SCOOTED on her BACK all the way under the dresser! It was hilarious.
The next day my mom hemmed some pants for Maddy and I while the girls hung out in the pack'n'play.
I made sure to put Emma in a Dresser Drawer the next day... problem was she kept banging her head on the top. So I put a blanket at the top but she knocked it over on top of herself. SOO that was a rough night BUT we did realize that it was time she slept in a crib instead of a drawer (or the bassinet at home, she is getting SO BIG!)
Maylee found a Santa hat when we got home she loved sporting it around the house and even to the store to go buy batteries for Ty's Cranky the Crane.

Now all he likes to do when we aren't watching Christmas movies we received is play with CRANKY that we found out is compatable with the other trains that we all ready had. So fun for him!
When I got home from our long snowy filled Drive on Friday morning. Matt had cleaned the house, taken down all the Christmas decor and tree, scheduled the tree to be picked up and disposed of, did the laundry and went grocery shopping so we wouldn't be hungry when we got home. He is SERIOUSLY the best! It was so kind and thoughtful of him to take care of everything while we weren't there.
Don't you worry, more posts to come today!!! It's kind of like a woot off, you just have to keep checking back to see what is new :)
Christmas morning we all got up at the crack of dawn. Okay, not really more like 7:30 but it was super early for all of us. We had to feed Emma anyway so the kids woke up quickly after.
We met up in my parents room read the Bible in Luke Chapter 2, then had a family prayer.
We then went out to see if Santa came. I've decided 3 years old is the BEST year for Christmas. Ty was old enough to understand what all the hullabaloo was about but didn't have such high expectations that would be inevitably dashed once he didn't get everything under the sun. He was SUPER excited and I think it helped everyone else be happy and excited too.
Every year my Dad gets little toys for everyone. This year it was disc shooters.
Santa did indeed bet Ty a Blue Fast Race Car!

And Emma was just Happy everyone woke up when she did.
Maddy made us all her family Christmas Breakfast. Pull apart Orange rolls which were YUMMY!
After we opened our Santa gifts and checked out our stalkings we ate our Christmas Cereal. I of course always get COOKIE CRISP. Ty picked Trix, Maylee had her picked for her by Matt (Reeses Puffs) Emme got more formula and Matt picked out Raisin Nut Bran for himself.
Colton just tried to get some more shut eye while everyone ate breakfast.
We waited while the presents were passed out.

Maylee opened her present from Dallin first. A cute skirt and hairbow. She insisted we put it on her and she wore it the rest of the day.

Maylee got a Cabbage patch doll from Grandma Kay and Grandpa Harvey. She decided once she got that she didnt want to open any more.
Then I convinced her to open just ONE more from Grandpa Spence, a stroller for her new baby. SHE WAS THRILLED. Then I couldn't convince her to open anything else she was too busy playing.
My parents bought a special Polar Express Electric train for their house. Ty was SO excited to put it all together.
I got a Cotton Candy Machine from Suzanne and Preston. It can use any regular hard candy to make the candy. Colton and I even tried cough drops and it WORKED! Colton had a sore throat haha.
After the opening of gifts we popped in a flick and relaxed.
We all eventually got dressed, my Dad put together the train.
Maylee really liked watching the train too.

After this picture we went bowling came home and watched another movie. It was a great day spent with family, smiles all around.
I loved spending time with family and celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May we keep the Spirit of Christ in our lives year round.
We kicked off Christmas Eve with a little skating! Matt and Ty went to join Nate, Kelly and the kids at the Roller Oddessy to skate. From what I hear Ty loved it and did pretty well for never skating before.
I stole this picture from Kelly (Thanks!!) Look at Matt's face... fiercely excited about the whole thing. The rest of us kicked the day off and met up with Ty and Matt at DONUT COUNTRY for BREAKFAST!

They finished another batch of maple twists... DONUT COMA!
After Donuts we headed over to Tinseltown to catch "Rise of the Guardians" While we waited for our show time we played a few arcade games. Ty got to play a RACE CAR game. He is actually pretty good and surprised Matt with a few tricks... like the TURBO BOOST BUTTON! Little boys just know these things and push all the buttons that are blinking.
Maddy and I did a little Dance Dance Revolution. We were pretty good!
My Dad took a half day off at work and met us right before the movie. Maylee took a nap during the movie and Ty enjoyed it. I liked it too. I think everyone else was luke warm to it.
After the movie we ate some lunch/dinner at Senior Sams and ran into Danny and John and Cooper and Kylie. Good to see them all. Then we headed over to the church gym where we did our nerf gun challenge. May didn't really understand what was happening.

Ty and Maylee even did some head to head. Maylle and my mom shot quite a few down then when my mom went to help her re-load she cleaned up but putting her cups back ON the table. Ty got bored after one re-load and didn't even finish. Ha.
We did a team blindfold target shoot and we made paper airplanes and the team that shot the airplane the fastest won. The girls were down 2-1... then we had the final individual and team obstacle course.
My mom totally rocked us and killed it with the best time first. Matt who is REALLY competitive did the WORST! He couldn't get those last few cups off the table for the life of him poor guy.

Nate, Kelly Tanner Dallin and Ashlyn were able to join us for the last part. The Kids played and burned off some energy. Dallin liked holding Emma and insisted on the photo op.
So we rounded up all the kiddies and got a group shot. Not bad, 50% looking.
After the games we went home got some left overs for dinner and opened our PJ's. I made sure Ty and Maylee knew they were PJ's. I remember being so let down one year when my parents said we could open one present Christmas Eve. Then it ended up being Pajamas. We'll do it every year but they'll know... IT'S PAJAMAS!
As you can see, Ty was just excited to open a present. He loved the 'jamas too that my mom made.

That night after we put the kids to be the adults played games: Read My Lips, Mad Gab and Yahtzee while waiting for Santa. It was the funniest game of Yahtzee I have ever played. Not one to be explained because one just had to be there to understand... but lets just say Colton rolling a 1 and EVERYONE ELSE rolling a 6 made us all cry we were laughing so hard.
