Emma turns 3

Whoa, I almost let a whole month go by before saying it was Emma's birthday! (Cough cough like I did with Grace) 

As luck would have it, we were headed down to Medifrd that weekend for our family pictures (next post) so my mom got wind and made sure to have a cake ready and waiting! It wad beautifully! And SOOOO tasty! Emma was thrilled with it too. She thought GRANDPA made it. 

(Don't worry Kyla, I washed the dress) 

She opened her presents that night right before bed. She got some new clothes. 

A frozen book with wand that makes noise... 

And her very own Princess lips smackers which she told me yesterday she ate  and that is why her poo was so hard. (Whhhhaaaa?) 

The day after her birthday we went to Tanners soccer game and then went mini golfing at the RVFFC for Emma's party. 

Emma wasn't wuite understanding the concept so she started throwing her ball. 

After mini golf we went to the first in-n-out in Oregon. It was worth the 25 min drive through line. They were very effiecent and we were all ready fans so there was no need to convince us of its tasty shake burger fry combo. 

Matt got a TRIPLE! 

The rest of the weekend we chilled. Nate and Kelly watched the girls for a few hours on Sunday so they could stay the week with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so weird for grace and me to not have them around during the day. So we did a lot of Face Timing while they were away. 

Ty and Emma took full advantage of being just two of four. 

My parents brought the girls back the following Friday when they came to attend Baylee's baptism. 

Emma had a good Birthday, she loved being with her cousins. She has decided this week to be potty trained again and over the three days she has only had 4 accidents. Just goes to show with her when I let go of my control issues, Emma flurishes. She is 29 lbs (in the 31st percentile) and 30.5" tall (in the 30th percentile) she is a healthy little lady with great teeth too. No cavities so far, but has bigger tonsils than brother (80%) so we get to take care of her snoring issues in a year or so I think as well. 

We love our spunky smart and independent Emma bug. 

September happenings

At the beginning of the month my brother HD and his family moved to Portland. It was a crazy stressful weekend helping them move in. They stayed with us for a few days while HD went back to Utah with my parents. The kids had a rough time adjusting to one another but after that weekend they have been playing really well with one another. 

We watched the chipmunk movie with a werewolf in it and it scared the crud out of the kids. 

We also went to Wintler Park, our favorite beach spot on the Columbia, the Bragg kids loved it! I had to get a picture of Grace though. She just started walking at the beginning of the month and was so excited to join her siblings on the beach! 

 After the weekend of helping unload  and unpack and watching the kids I had a meeting for Young Women's (p.s. I was called to serve in the presidency as the secretary) I got home and Matt was cleaning the house. He sure does know the way to get straight to my heart. 

Then he made me cookies. I sure love that guy. 

Also, Maylee has started on-line preschool. Kristin was able to get her signed up for the same program Elena uses and she loves it. She takes it seriously and works hard at her school. 

Emma wasn't feeling well one day. She took a nap then woke up came down stairs and crashed on me. I didn't mind though. I love her snuggles. 

The girls have been enjoying their time together while Ty is at school. Hopefully by the time Maylee goes to school next year Gracie can be a good playmate for Emma. 

The third weekend in September Nate came up for continuing education for his physical therapy. We convinced Nate to bring Ashlyn and the girls were SO happy and sweet together. 

We took the girls and Ty to his school to watch Cinderella, the new live action film.  

The girls loved it, Ty even liked it. I think it's in my top three favorites for sure. I bought it the first chance I had. 

We watched it during the day probably 4 times in a 6 day span. I popped popcorn and of course the girls never complained. 

Ty got a loose tooth. It's his bottom middle, he still hasn't lost it but his Apple eating has significantly decreased. 

Speaking of Apples, for FHE we made Carmel apples. They were so tasty! Matt has it down to an art form. 

With fall comes all the yummy fall bakin as well. Love the pumpkin scones. 

Also, we've been enjoying the ups and downs of being a BYU fan. The Cougars are currently 4-2, not so bad. 

As part of my calling with the Young Women I get to help with the sports clinics for the girls. I had the chance to help teach volleyball basics. It's so fun to teach the girls new things and improve the skills they all ready have. 

September was a great month and now that we are well in to October it feels great to catch up a bit! 

Gracie baby turns 1!

Gracie girl turned ONE on our way home from Disneyland. She was a happy girl the whole drive back. I gave her some licorice and she was just thrilled with it.

She also got a balloon in the mail from her sweet aunt Maddy and Uncle Colton she loved it.

The day after Gracie's birthday, Aunt Kelly was able to take some one year pictures for us. Grace was confused about it all I think, so she was pretty straight faced, but Kelly still got quite a few good ones. She was careful and serious about her cake, but make no mistake. The girl LOVES her food. 

She hasn't had her one year check up yet. I scheduled it so I could take her and Emma in at the same time. That appointment is Monday. As you can see she is still pretty chubby with a few rolls. She LOVES to eat and never has a problem eating absolutely anything I give her. She unfortunately shares the same intolerance's to Lactose that everyone else does in our family (besides me). We have weaned her off of infant formula however on to whole Lactose free milk and she is doing well on that. She also can't do any berries. If she has a lot of Lactose, or berries, she gets diaper rash near instantly and is a grouchy girl! Well, that is to say, as grouchy as Gracie ever gets. 

I failed to mention that the week Matt was on high adventure with the Young Men in August, Grace had Roseola. It is basically a high fever for 3-4 days that can't really be controlled by medicine followed by a rash 24 hours after the fever subsides that lasts another 2 days. It was pretty miserable for her, especially in the middle of the night, and for me. I wont lie saying I didn't cry with out Matt being there and taking care of a sick Grace. I thought she was just teething... not so much. But that is the sickest and grouchiest she has been in her first year of life. 

 The other day she slipped when I got out the the shower and the floor was wet. It was a bad slip and she bonked her head. Yesterday when I was hoping out of the shower she walked in to the bathroom then crawled to the bathroom rug so she wouldn't slip. She is a quick study. She is also very concerned for her sisters. Whenever they cry she walks over to them pats their head and nods at them as if to say, "There, There". She says Hi Dad! and Bye Dad! all the time. She is a real daddy's girl and I am pretty sure he is wrapped around her finger. The other day in the car she said "Da Da!" and Matt thought it was Maylee. He said "Yeah? What do you need Maylee?" Maylee said, "That wasn't me Dad that was Grace." We love having Grace in our family. She is the perfect ending to our bunch and is growing and learning so much.

We are also very lucky to have Kelly to take pictures for us she always does such a fantastic job.
