Coaching
Also Matt had his last Men's game last night. It kind of caught us off guard. Matt had sense to check the schedule and we thought his game was on Saturday but it was really last night! So Matt, Ryan and I went on over. There were only 2 other guys there. By 3 minutes in to the first half there were 6 more. So we had a full five plus the bench. I am the only wife that ever really comes because we are pretty much the only couple on the team with no kiddos.
ANYWAYS, I always cheer a little and talk to Matt or Ryan but this game I was sick of the lazy defense so I decided to start talking louder... "Move your feet!" "Get that board!" "Whose guarding 23?" "Tight D" "Keep it clean" "Don't REACH!" anyways... with about 4 minutes left in the game Matt and Ryan are both sitting and there was a new rotation of guys going in. Some how no one could figure out who they were guarding! We were up by six and that lead was quickly diminishing. After a three pointer and some threatening drives to the hoop I looked at the clock and yelled at Matt "Time out TIME OUT CALL A TIME OUT!!" "NO one knows who they are guarding!!" SO Matt called a time out the guys figured it out and maintained the lead. The thing is I knew the guys they were playing against and once they get hot it's pretty hard to stop them.
SO bottom line is maybe I should have been the Men's Basketball coach instead of the Young Women's coach?? I can see who plays well together and who doesn't. Who should guard who, when it's okay to do zone defense or go to Man. Oh and the pick and roll worked all night long last night... These are things that are so far over the Young Women's heads that I would get drooling looks if I told them we're going to play Zone D.
Also, what guy would argue with a 5"2' pregnant blond lady telling them they are getting lazy on D and to move there feet instead reaching. OR that they dribble into the corner every time so pass it before you get the urge to be stuck over there again. Not that I would campain for the job but Matt and I both agree that their should as the least be a designated coach. Until next year...
BYU plays Utah at home tomorrow. Wish them luck!
Congrats to H and Brit on the birth of little Lacy! I still have yet to see pictures guys! Anyone that lives up there, take some and send them over :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I can't breathe!
I stayed home from work on Friday and while I was feeling like junk I thought "Hey let's make things MORE awesome by attempting to do our taxes with my spare time :)!" Okay obviously I wasn't thinking clearly because after about 4 hours, two computer crashes, using my laptop and my desk top I got them done. We did get a refund though so that will be nice.
Besides being sick, I went to a movie with all the girls late on Friday night. Hopefully I didn't infect anyone! :( We went and saw "New in Town" with Rene Zelwegger and Harry Conick Jr. It was a cute movie and fun to see with the fam! Sorry I wasn't more social ladies. Matt didn't have anything else to do so he went with me and found out "Taken" was playing at the same time. He said it was AWESOME. After his explanation of it I want to see it too!
Oh and yesterday Matt tried to do a load of laundry and we pleasantly found out that our washer was totally KAPUT. YES! Just what I want to do with a splitting headache and our new found tax return money, go buy a new washer! We went to Home Depot and Lowe's and found the best deal at Lowe's. Once we found it I went and laid down in the car while Matt took care of buying it. Lowe's so kindly delivered today and I was surprised at how easy it was. Not as expensive as I thought it would be but still a rip in the shorts to buy a new one. The one we had came from Mickey, who gave it to Will and Kristin, who gave it to us. So it served our family well and lasted a LONG time.
OH and Braden was here this weekend too, it's always good seeing him. I was pretty out of it most of the weekend but I think he had a somewhat entertaining time with Matt. I should have taken some pictures but I didn't even think about it!
We had Stake Conference today as well. I got a little mixed up on the time and didn't realize that instead of it being 8:30 it was 9:30, with church starting at 10. Whoops! Usually we are there about 30 minutes early to get cushy seats but no such luck today we walked in 15 minutes early to get seating on the hard metal chairs. Well about 5 minutes before church started a couple in our ward said they saved seats up front (she's the choir director and was singing) and had room for us so we should come sit with them. OHH boy was that nice, It was kind of them to think of us! Thanks Guys! :) Of course the meeting was excellent as well, our Stake presidency is comprised of some amazing men that are always awesome to hear speak.
I am sure there are tons of things I am forgetting that happened, but my brain is a little foggy.
Have a good week all!

ARG!
I am failing a bit with coaching basketball to my 12-13 year old girls. Stop giggling, snapping each others bra straps, talking about boys, and dropping everything because you think you got a text and LISTEN PLEASE... arg... if it was a real team, (meaning it wasn't a "come out and play to have fun" attitude), they would be running sprints until they cooperated. Well, I should say that cell phones are now outlawed during games and practice (Yes you read it right games... texting at half time? You've got to be kidding me it's 7:30 AM) Oh and my favorite one yesterday, "I don't think (girls name here) is coming to practice today she was mad at me at lunch time today" Haha wow...
I don't ever remember being that silly at any practice, this is serious stuff here girls not a slumber party! :) So I am trying hard to be firm but nice at the same time... it's tougher then I thought!
Good thing I am having a boy, I don't know if I can take that much giggly talk the rest of my life...:)
I must say it probably tried my patience more then usual yesterday because that cold everyone has been passing around the last few months/weeks has finally caught up with me! Waking up this morning my whole body is VERY sore (and it's not from my Yoga yesterday), I am hacking up a lung, with a stuffy nose and killer headache. Yuck! So I am off to find some water, some Kleenex, and try to feel better before "girls night out" tonight!

Something about Heck on earth...
Matt and I switched to Comcast today. We were getting totally hosed by Qwest on our rates and with the digital switch we decided to get cable instead of a converter box. Not real cable we have limited basic meaning QVC and CBS come in clear now, but not much else is new. The above video is how I feel today... something about heck on earth... The install guy was on-time this morning, he installed very quickly, tested the phone, Internet and cable. Of course everything worked great! I was about to go to work when for some reason I thought "you better check the cable again." WELL low and behold it's really choppy, sound goes in and out the screen goes black... It's cable right? Not like a bad signal could be involved? I called 1800comcast and after a lengthy talk with one of their people he has to send the install guy back out to fix it, but of course he is a another job so he'll be here sometime in the afternoon. ARG I hate that... because I know that the second he comes it will work fine and he'll leave then it wont work again. Does this happen to every one or just Matt and I? I have tons to do at the office today but now I get to sit home and wait... lame. I instantly thought of Brian Reagan and his experience and just had to laugh about it! Get a good chuckle guys... it is pretty funny. :)

It's my favorite COUSIN!!

On Friday night Will invited a whole bunch of people to come play laser tag. It was cool how many people were there! Matt and Ryan went and they both enjoyed themselves. I did not play but I was allowed to walk around while everyone else was playing. I was shot at every second or so which was pretty funny, I purposely wore a white shirt so that I was really visible but I still tricked people walking behind them. Or as my uncle Ray said "Look I'm shooting the pregnant lady" Some people would purposely walk BEHIND me so I would protect them while they were making their way through... it was cool and I was able to get tons of action shot pictures of people.

Saturday was a packed day as well. Matt and I woke up and started cleaning a little. Well we ended up getting quite carried away with ourselves and cleaned for quite a few hours before we realized we were REALLY late for my little cousin Kai's Birthday party. So we showered and zipped down to Kangaroo Zoo to meet up with tons in the family. Matt of course was off like a rocket to play with Jason, Sierra, and all the other little cousins while I chatted with a few of the ladies in the party room including my cousin Steph who just had a baby. She looked GREAT and she brought little Gray to the party as well. I couldn't believe how old he looked! He looked like at least a month old to me, his coloring was excellent and he seemed bigger then a newborn. Matt was pretty surprised as well.

After the party we heard about a SHADE clothing WAREHOUSE SALE right behind the K.Z. and checked it out. I came away with 3 maternity shirts, a knit sweater vest and 3 non-maternity shirts for $38. Steal right? I wish I could have called everyone and asked what they wanted but I am not made of money people haha... Kristin and I were TRYING to call my mom but she was snowshoeing and didn't answer our calls. That's okay we still picked out stuff for her. After the sale Matt and I took Jason and Sierra for the rest of the weekend. It is Kristin's (and H.D.'s) Birthday today and for weeks I was trying to think of something to get her and the best thing I could think of was some alone time with the hubby. So since her kids don't bat an eye when we (more like Matt) take them I figured it would be good idea. So we went our separate ways that afternoon.
(Sorry guys forgot the camera the rest of the weekend...)Another surprise on Saturday Nate, Kelly and the boys were in town, so they met up with us at our house. Suzanne and Preston came over as well. When Kelly found out about the sale we hit she wanted to go too. The Warehouse sale ended at 3 but we were able to go to an actual store and get some of the same deals. After the shopping, we picked up some Pizza for dinner (thanks again Kelly for the coupons:) chatted and hung out the rest of the night letting the kids play. Dallin was even shwing signs of crawling, he got up on his hands and knees then started rocking... he's close guys I can feel it! When Tanner and Jason would come running by giggling he would get so excited, he'll be chasing them in no time :)
Funny Story: When us girls got back and we were cooking the pizzas, Jason asked me for some water so we both walked over to the fridge. Jason looked up and pointed at Ty's ultra sound pictures. He said "LOOK it's my favorite COUSIN!" I chuckled and said "Matt, did you teach Jason that while we were gone?" Matt was confused so I repeated what Jason said and Matt then said "No, what?". Then Jason started waving his hands to everyone and saying it louder "Guys! Guys! Come over here look it's my FAVORITE cousin!!" I said "Where is your favorite cousin?" (Thinking he could have been looking at another picture) and he pointed at the picture of Ty's noggin then at my belly. I picked him up and started laughing even more thinking 'Where the heck did he come up with this...' No one has ever explained to him what those pictures were or where his cousin was, but he knew. Then he looked at me pointing at my belly and said "Can we open it?" I replied with "Not yet in a couple months." It's crazy what kids pick up on...Maybe he's just stoked for his first boy cousin? Regardless it was hilarious.
Anyways I felt bad we were a little cramped with everyone over but it was still fun. Nate, Kelly, Tanner and Dallin all slept downstairs with Jason, Matt, Sierra and I all in our room up stairs. Nice a cozy eh? Jason pretty much took up the whole bed... how can a little 3 year old be SUCH a bed hog! Ha ha
Today we got up to no Nate and Kelly, they got an early start back home. I was ready to make pancakes for breakfast and everything! Oh well, cereal it was... we gave the kiddos a bath and we were off to church. Both kids were great and people kept asking in the ward "Who are these good little kids!?" (We sat in the front row) Matt kept saying it was a rent-a-family thing Ha ha very funny. But I will say I am glad that when little ones are first born they aren't busy 1 or 3 year olds. I was a bit worn out after church! Good thing it was nap time for all :) Kristin and Will came over to get the kids around 5 so I had made dinner and some cake and brownies for Kristin's birthday. We played games then they went home.
Pretty easy, busy and successful weekend. Glad we could give something to Kristin she would enjoy. It was good thing Uncle Matt was there the whole time though, by myself would have been rough but for some reason Jason and Sierra LOOOOVVE Matt and do whatever he needs them to do. It was actually funny the kids were great until Kristin and Will showed up then at one point both Jason and Sierra were crying so loudly that all of us just started laughing.
Good busy weekend, but now I am ready for a good nights rest :)

2 things
I once started going to a friend other then my usual hair gal for a color. I did what every person shouldn't do and try something really different with my hair right before a wedding, well needless to say it didn't work out too well and I needed it to be fixed. After no response for 2 days from the gal who did it I called the person I used previously and she saved the day. LESSON LEARNED, only go to one person for your hair needs, they know you, know your hair, and how "different" you really want to go. Thanks Trish :)
Second, Matt and I upon moving to Herriman, decided to use some random auto mechanic out of the phone book for some of our little fixes that we didn't know how to do. Previously we had always used one down in Utah county but decided it was too far to drive a broken car/ tow a car there. We tried to use these people a couple times and after this last time we have decided to only use our mechanic down in Utah county. They are worth every penny (which is usually a lot less then what the other guys will charge). We had some bad fuel injectors that we needed fixed, we took it to the other guys for them to tell us which ones were bad so we could change them ourselves. They said 4 were bad and you can't just change one you have to change them all. So Matt and I bought 6 at 55 a piece from Napa (the other guys wanted to charge us 90 a piece for rebuilt ones) to change them ourselves. Well after trying to change them ourselves a couple time we decided "ARG lets just take it down to All-Tec (Utah County guys) and pay them to do it." I called them, they got it done the same day, even though they were full, and said only two were bad. (side note: they had changed 3 about 4 years earlier that were bad and Grant, our mechanic, not only remembered which ones they were, but they weren't bad!) ANYWAYS I told them since we bought all 6 may as well change them all. HOW IRRITATING, only 2 were bad and he charged us less then half of what the other guys said they wanted to charge us for labor. Let see, the bill could have been $600 if we had the other guys do it but with All-Tec doing it and us buying our own parts it cost about $400. BUT if we'd gone to All-Tec in the first place it would have probably cost less then 200. LESSON LEARNED... those guys know my car inside and out I mean who has a memory that good?
So that's the point, only go to a hair stylist and auto mechanic that you know and trust or you might end up with Orange hair and be dirt poor with still a broken down car. Whew so glad that isn't me :)

FINE I'll wear them... GOSH
In other news we got reports back on the ultra sound of our little Ty today at my appointment. Apparently there are needs for me to go BACK in and get ANOTHER one because they didn't get good measurements (the ones they got showed abnormal) on his Kidneys, Heart and Bladder. It was quite the ordeal the first time so this next time I wont worry about drinking water until I get there. Hopefully Ty is more photogenic for us/nothing really is abnormal. I'll have the next one sometime in March when I am about 27 weeks along to measure if everything is growing properly. Has anyone else had to do this because of abnormal measurements? I am not really all that worried about it but it is something to wonder about.
