Last night
It was a night of hair. I did Kristins and Suzannes... If you think it looks bad (when you see them) just smile and say it looks great to spare mine and my sisters feelings.
HAHA Just kidding I think Kristins looks good, I havent seen Suzannes yet though... Except on Kristins I did one part a little too "chunky" I must have been distracted by Jason, look at Kristins blog for as to why I might have been distracted. He was so funny. Matt and Will went Frisbee golfing ofcourse and when they got back, while I was blowdrying Kristins hair, Jason joined Matt for a jam session.

COUGARS WEAR BLUE

YES I took this picture... I got box seats last year from my work it was AWESOME! This is also the background to my computer as well as Suzanne's and Matt's at work. We are letting everyone at our offices know where our "allegiance" lies. Feel free to show your "allegiance" as well at work ;) ;)
As this time gets closer the more excited I get! Thanks to Kristin for picking up the tickets for all of us we are now officially FULLY INVESTED! Wearing blue to the games and so on... It will be great. Lets all Brush up on the Fight song.
Rise, all loyal Cougars and hurl your challenge to the foe. We will fight, day or night, rain or snow. Loyal, strong, and true, wear the White and Blue. As we sing, get set to spring. Come on Cougars, it's up to you! So Rise and Shout, the Cougars are out, we're on the trail to fame and glory. Rise and shout, our cheers will ring out as we unfold our vict'ry story. On we go to vanquish the foe for Alma Mater's sons and daughters. As we join in song, in praise of you, our faith is strong. We'll raise our colors high in the blue and cheer out Cougars of BYU! RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA GOOOOOOOOOOO COUGARS!
I LOVE IT~!
In other news my Jeep broke down the other day... but the Super Woman I am I just fixed it myself. Man... I am awesome I'll post a picture of it later... Suzanne helped too by the way, so we are both Super Women. OH and Sharon helped too by getting us to the dealership to buy the part even when supposedly they were closed she uhhh let them know they were not closed and needed to still help us. Gotta love having and Aunt around in times like that.

What a Week end!
I'll start off with Friday.... We went to the movies on Friday evening and saw "Stardust" I was pretty sceptical at first thinking that i wouldn't like the movie. It ended up being a great film. Really funny and entertaining.
Robert DeNiro and HILARIOUS in it. Matt was even cracking up at a couple parts. We went with the Maxwell's and some cousins that live in California, Rachel and Teresa along with my uncle Steve. It was great to see them and to hang out a little. After the movie we went and hit some balls at the batting cages. All the cages were packed so we waited for about 10 minutes. Then a cage opened up, 2 couples must have paid for a hour and only stayed for about 15 minutes because we went in and pushed the button and it was still ready to pitch when we left. Also the guy in the cage next to us paid for a half hour in the fast baseball so Matt did that as well. We didn't have to pay at all! Now we have 5 tokens we can use later. The weird thing was grip on the bats, they gave everyone blisters on their fingers. One of mine popped mid -wing, that's when I called it a night :).
Saturday, We all woke up for a work out, Matt had been excited all week about Elders Quorum Football. Matt and I went down to the Field while Suzanne hit the gym for a workout. A couple guys were on the Field throwing the ball around and I started running. I ran about 3 miles and started to walk one more lap for a cool down when Matt said "Mick come here" So I went over to him and there were only 7 guys there and Matt wanted me to be the 4th guy on his team. I thought about it and thought "why not?" So I played it was pretty fun. We got home and went to the DMV to finish with the car registration. YIKES the DMV is so bad! Luckily it didn't take too long. We all got ready to go play softball and when we got there we figured we must have gotten our time wrong or had the wrong Field because no one showed up. S
o we went back home (again) and showered then went down to Bi-Centennial park in Provo to play Frisbee golf. Matt scored well as did Will. Then we went over the the Maxwell's House to hang out some more with our cousins who were in town. We then went (yet again) Mini golfing at Cascade.
It was great! Matt also wanted to hit a couple buckets of balls so we did that as well. When we went mini golfing we split up and went. Everyone there go hole in ones besides Matt and I. Steph got 4! Three in a row then about 4 holes later another one! Man it was lame that i didn't even get one! Oh well.

It was a very busy weekend and I am way worn out for all the activites. Maybe i can get some rest today and feel better tomorrow. Or maybe we can actually relax next week end. Oh wait yeah right thats the start of College football season! :)

Wedding Stuff
So let me tell you all about a little secret us Bragg women have. http://www.newport-news.com/ It is a website that we order a lot of stuff off of. But that is not our secret. Our secret is out brother/son in law Will. He finds you CODES! SO you get free shipping and 20% off! HA! Now you all know our secret! Cats out of the bag.
So here is the story Michaela Jordan's Fiance has been trying to find bridesmaids dresses for quite sometime. It was kind of crazy because she was only finding strapless or halter and so on which is fine... I would just need to cover up a little bit more. I had been looking at a few websites and decided I could find one on newportnews cheaper.
I sent over a few options and Michaela liked the one that Suzanne and I liked the most as well! Which is good because a few of the dresses picked out were kind of spendy for sure. Also it turns out my mom all ready owns the dress too but in Red. We are ordering it in Pink. Anyways that was a relief for sure to find a dress that will look good on all of us hopefully. That length makes me look like a midget because I am so short it ends up being full length or too short kind of not to mention my chubby ankle problem.... anyways we'll see. One thing down now on to the next thing, shoes hmmmm...

The Office
Yes the office.... My office was crazy today... so i sat in my corner half laughing half twitching.... Women are emotional and I'll leave it at that. Oh and it wasn't me, that's for sure.
As for the other "Office" Suzanne and i finally got a hold of The Office Season two disc three. We have seen disc 2 but none of the other five. We have been going to Blockbuster or Hollywood every day for a week at least and we finally got one. We'll watch three more episodes tonight for sure. That show is hilarious. Pam and Jim HAVE to date by the end of this show... Seriously! (P.S. i am not quite up to date on season three so if they are don't tell me I would like to be surprised. Tuesday, August 21, 2007
Where are the Elk pictures you ask?
Suzanne was sick yesterday... she threw up in her mouth a couple times at work! HAHA just thought you all would want to know that. She said it felt like her insides want to be on her outsides, and vice versa. She also said she was an "8" if anybody doesn't get that reference I will be more than willing to tell you about it. SO no Elk farm pictures. Bummer! She is feeling much better today. Besides that nothing happened at all yesterday. Matt got off class early and I fell asleep early, then Kristin called and I was so spaced out I don't even know what happened. I thought it was so late and it was only 9:40. oh and DANG IT I AM NOT PREGNANT! Haha... I will be sure to let know all know when I am, but it probably wont be for another year or two. ;) Not much else to report....

Is it Monday All READY?
Man! What a good weekend. I think having today off too would have been better, but none the less it was great! Friday night Matt and I wanted to go to the Temple so we asked Suzanne if she wanted to go and she said "Heck Yes!" So we went the the Jordan River Temple and did baptisms for the dead, Matt even got to confirm and baptize both Suzanne and I. It was wonderful! I haven't done them in a while and Jordan River always has people in the baptismal font so you don't have to bring your own priesthood. Kind of cool so you can go whenever you want! Afterwards we got out A&W root beer floats, Its not part of the temple experience (as my father puts it) but it is an added bonus! Then we went driving around to every video store in Riverton/Herriman looking for Season Two of "The Office" they are always out! Maybe someday we'll find it, or just buy it. We didn't find it, and I was pooped anyways so I went to bed while Matt and Suzanne stayed up and watched "Alex & Emma"
Saturday we went over to Will and Kristin's. Originally the guys were going up to Solitude to go Frisbee golfing but it was raining all morning! They didn't go, so on our way down to Will and Kristin's we picked up some Cinnamon Bread and Kristin made really good Vanilla Syrup to go with Cinnamon french toast, Yummmm. Then we played in the backyard for while. Then the guys went over to Art Dye and played Frisbee Golf while Kristin, Suzanne, and I made Apple Pie Filling. The boys ended up throwing 2, 18 hole games. Sheesh! Wills parents, our next store neighbors from Oregon (the Schmidts) and Wills sister Tracie and her husband Troy were all in and out as well on Saturday. We made apple crisp with our fresh apple pie filling and it was really good! We went out to "The Italian Place" for dinner... uhh didn't know it was just a meat sandwich place. None the less it was a pretty good sandwich then we went Miniature Golfing. Good news is i didn't loose! Its been a really long time since i didn't loose. Kristin did! I think its her pregnant belly getting in the way... in a couple months I'll be back to losing again! Matt got 3 HOLE IN ONES. That was pretty awesome. He didn't win though Will did.
Sunday we had our Home teacher over and went to Church to teach our 12 year old kids for the last time. It was pretty sad. I will miss them a lot, I liked teaching that class. Matt says he is excited for the change to get to know more people in the Ward. I don't know about that, i liked where I was, stretching and growing is good though. Matt has been telling me he wants to play football on Saturdays he just doesn't know where to play (remember he just got BYU's last years cleats for 10 bucks now he wants to try them out) BUT this Saturday the guys in our ward are playing football! Matt was so excited he was almost shaking in Primary after he saw the notice. Matt loves football! Suzanne went to the singles ward here in Herriman and she said they all were really nice and will have loads of activities to keep her busy while she lives with us. Tongiht for FHE they are visiting and elk farm... uh i think i'll send her with her camera so i can post pictures tomorrow. We watched Field of Dreams last night too, that was a good little flick, I cried but I am such a baby these days. AND ITS MONDAY AGAIN how does that always seem to happen so fast....
School starts up for Matt (unfortunately not me... well if you count on~line classes) Now its back to the ole "non-existance" husband routine, for a long time! Wish Matt luck with school!

Cougar Kickoff!
So the Cougar Kickoff was fun! Matt got last years football cleats for 10 bucks and a pair of socks for 1 dollar but they are these really sweet thick socks. There weren't any Jerseys so we were bummed, but what can you do. BYU fans are crazy they swarm and then in an instant everything is gone. Especially on BYU apparel. I got Fully Invest shirts for my Mom, Dad, Colton Matt and I then Suzanne got hers as well.
We also caught up with Shawn and Stacy (Stacy worked with me at Gandolfos) and got some things signed by all the players. Suzanne and I got Kristin's shirt signed while she waited in line for the other players by the time we got to the front of the line there were only about 12 players left sitting. That was a bummer BUT Suzanne got Special Play 62 on her shirt... you'll have to ask her about it. While we were getting our shirts signed. Matt, Will, and Travis went frisbee golfing, then Matt and Will went to go play Basketball. Matt likes BYU but not enough to get anything signed by them. We got North Medford High Schools very Own Ryan Folsom to sign our shirts too... It was kind of funny because he is a walk on Freshman and I used to hang out with his sisters. I bet Suzanne and I were the first to have him sign our shirts. Haha Anyways it was a good night.

Warning: I will be going off on a Sports Tantrum

I am a BIG sports fan. My two FAVORITE things are College football and the NBA.
Man I get all jittery just thinking on the beginning of College Football Season or NBA Basketball season. Tonight is the Annual Cougar Kickoff for BYU. YES!!!! This is where I get all the coaches and players to sign my shirt, I will now have three seasons worth of t~shirts signed by all coaches and players. Pretty sweet (not as sweet at my moms signed football) That is what Suzanne Kristin and I will be doing tonight, getting our women's clinic shirts signed. Matt wants to be down there right at 5:30 because BYU also sells last seasons Jerseys for Baseball Football Basketball Track... so on and so forth. They also sell last seasons un-used Basketball shoes or Cleats... whatever they have. So Matt wants some new cleats, last year it was all gone by the time we got there at 6:20 ish. I reason I tell you all this is because Suzanne and Matt have been teasing me relentlessly about being "Fully Invested" I want to get there on time but they want me to leave work an hour early to get to the thing on time. Well I told them I could leave at 5 and both of them say... "Mick I don't think you are fully invested in Cougar football."
I SAY IF THERE IS ONE PERSON WHO IS FULLY INVESTED ITS ME! I AM GOING TO BUY THE $5 T SHIRT AND WEAR IT PROUDLY!

I am getting annoyed once again by the 2007 Western Conference Championship between the Spurs and the Suns. MY SUNS SHOULD HAVE WON! So this is what is say in rebellion to the tarnished title that the Spurs hold (which is not by any fault of their own just plain bad officiating let them win)
Phoenix Suns!
For all those of you who dont know, the Mavericks are my ALL TIME FAVORITE TEAM. Because of Steve Nash MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PLAYER. But since he traded to the Suns a few years ago the Suns come in a close second.

Here are Pictures!

Here are some pictures of Matt's new to us, used Car, the good ole Chevy Malibu. We need to take it in and have it completely detailed inside and out. It is pretty clean inside and out, but still, I don't want someone else's cooties in our car.
I think it fits him nicely. Also I have decided I don't think that we have a stock muffler on it too because uhh as Suzanne put it "It purrs like a kitten" well she actually said that about this sweet little '87 Toyota Celica she wants to buy. It only has 89,000 miles on it! Ha ha Its uhh a pretty sweet lil scooter. It is only $1650 and that is right in Suzanne price range. I had the giggles so bad driving in it, it is Burgundy with red interior, sooooo 80's. This car is older than Colton! Anyways after we looked at that car with Suzanne out in Saratoga Springs, we all went grocery shopping and at Wal~mart they have some funny shirts. Matt and Suzanne decided to buy matching shirts...
I was laughing so hard when i saw it that i was falling over.
It totally fit both of them. Here is a picture up close if you cant quite read what it says. Funny Funny, Matt also is progressing well on his guitar. He can now play the songs "Wild Thing" and "Knockin' on Heavens Door" I think he learned the latter because I told him how stupid I thought that song was. He thinks it is so funny when I sing that song too. He has started learning songs off "You Tube". Reading music takes him too long, he just watches the person play it and he can pick it up much faster. So there you all have it! The adventures of Matt Mickie and SuzanneMonday, August 13, 2007
Okay so sheesh

I guess you can just look at Kristins blog for pictures and a play by play... she posted all the same ones... oh well. We went ot a Salt Lake Bees baseball game on friday. It was great fun. Suzanne and I were big geeks. Saturday Matt and I bought a car. It is a 2001 Chevy Malibu. I hope it will be a good car for us. Looks nice and Matt (who still says it doesn't feel like his car yet) says it drive nicely. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Maybe tomorrow I can get them on. Suzanne is good at the thumbs up if you notice in the pictures. Well I gotta get back to work. I'll be better at blogging this week.

A Good Man
I loved this man he was a great leader, http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=1615370. It saddens me when I hear news of one of these great men passing away, but at the same time they are where they need to be now and their families know that. Also I think it is exciting to see the changes that are coming in the First Presidency as well as in the Quorum of Apostles. A new guy who will it be? I guess we'll find out soon enough. On another note, Matt and I went and looked at a few cars last night. We kind of like this Silver Chevy Malibu, so we might have a new car in a couple days! We'll see...

ALL RIGHT
I think it just takes a day to dwell on all that stuff then just bounce back and say, okay fine if that's how its going to be... I'm all right with it.
HERE IS WHAT I PROPOSE... This is for girls only. On a night where all us girls have time or on a weekend we're going to do a spa party ( Steph you can fly out ohh you too Holly ;) Wait my mom too... Okay so whoever can make it) Suzanne can do toes and Kristin and I can supply the Noni masks and facials with lotions. Maybe Bobbie can supply a for Mary Kay testers? It could be at my house, but I don't know if y'all want to come all the way out here. We could watch Pride and Prejudice or some other girly movie... We'll work out the details later. Let me know (all who want to attend) if weekend or weekdays are better and we'll plan it. All our husbands can go see a movie or Frisbee golf or do something else while us women make our selves look prettier... Sounds about what I need right now. Or like Trish suggested we could all just go to a movie instead. I'm in the mood to do something... this Saturday? Tonight? haha Any takers?
P.S. Maxwell's for Halloween in Disneyland you could all be M & M's, Sports Players, The classic Halloween characters ( ghost witch devil cat grim reaper and so on.) There are my 2 cents but Stephs suggestions we way better so ignore mine.

Ode to the Protege/ The U must burn
So at first when you get hit and you know your car is totalled you think cool they are going to pay me for it and I can go get a newer one. Awesome! Well when they offer half of what you think you should get that gets annoying. Matt took off Monday, half of Tuesday and today to get all this car stuff taken care of. I hate fighting for money and the fact that we put SO MUCH into the car in the last few months to get it just to where we wanted it is just ripping me apart inside. We were going to sell it and once we got it out of the shop the second time we were happy with it. The road noise wasn't bad, I got Matt that Iriver so he could listen to his Ipod in the car, it was getting AWESOME gas mileage, (we filled it up about every week and a half, that's not bad for driving to SLC from Herriman 5 out of 7 days a week) It has been getting cooler outside and his car does GREAT in the winter.
Who knew I would miss it so much. The real problem is that Suzanne doesn't have a car yet so she has been borrowing mine to go to work everyday. Matt got a rental car but once we settle we'll have 1 car between the three of us. (tonight is a look for a car for Suzanne night) Hopefully we can find something for her shortly so we wont be down to that one car. Matt has been thinking that maybe we don't need another car right now and we can just use mine. Which is all fine and dandy but (here comes the next piece of news that has made me jump for joy)
University of Utah has denied me residency. I can not afford to pay 6500 in tuition a semester to go to school. You would think owning a home in Utah for a year, having a Utah drivers License, being a registered Utah voter, having both (well one now) cars registered to Utah, would be enough, nope since I went home for 3 and a half months right before I got married I am officially hosed.
I have to wait until July 1st 2008 before I can be a resident. What options does that leave me? LDSBC, BYU Salt Lake ext, on~line BYU classes. SOOOOO AWESOME to find all this out ohhh a week and a half before classes start at the U and all the above mentioned schools. So now i have to withdraw my application to the U for financial aid and re-apply it to LDSBC and PRAY that they have classes open that I can transfer over to the U. BUT LDSBC is a two year school so since I all ready have all my generals taken care of besides 3 classes, 2 of which LDSBC doesn't have a class to fill the requirement of the U, it puts me in a nice spot. SWEEET So that's where BYU Salt Lake ext, and BYU on-line come into play. I need to figure all this stuff out and more in about 1 week to make it before school starts...
WHEW I just need to breathe... and take a vacation. Last night i broke down for quite sometime. (Harry Potter saved me last night isnt it great to pick up a book and forget everything thats going on with you and get wrapped up in the story?) Today is one of those space cadet, eyes glazed over, trying to figure out where the heck to start days. All while trying to deal with insurance and car dealer people and so on and so forth. Being a grown up with responsibility is AWFUL. My poor husband, I try not to snap all the time but the last 2 days have been up and down... Being an emotional basket case is also AWFUL.
A few positive things i have been trying to dwell on amidst all this junk are, Jordans Wedding, BYU Football Season, Grandma and Grandpa moving home, and bonding with my twin for the next couple months. I think i need to concentrate harder on those things then the other junky things happening.

Matt sold his car!
To Geico..... Matt was heading west on center street in Lindon and a girl driving the Lexus SUV decided at the last second to turn in front of Matt. As you can see her SUV had damage but Matt's is definitely gone. Now we get to have fun trying to fight with the insurance company to get enough money out of them. THEN find another car. The thing that bites is we just put about $750 worth of repairs into it in order to keep it and not sell it. We just re~registered it too on Monday! SHEEESH. Nobody was seriously injured. Matt was driving with H.D. in the front seat, Will and my cousin Travis were in the back seat they were on their way to go Frisbee golfing. Everybody is pretty sore this morning, HD thought he may have broken a rib or two so he went in but they are just bruised. I just feel bad for the poor girl that hit Matt. She felt so bad she was just crying and crying. I kept telling her everyone is OK and its not as bad as it seems right now. Poor girl! It was her first accident. Britanys baby shower was last night the accident made things really exciting. Just thought I would give a quick update in our lives.

3rd year at BYU Football Camp
So yesterday evening was BYU Women's Football Camp. Myself, Suzanne, Kristin, Britany, my mom and my friend Stacy all came. It was a lot of fun! The weather wasn't great but what can y0u do.
We had a tour around the locker rooms first (the reason i am on the scale is because i am convinced football players scales are broken, they say they weigh a lot more then they actually do! It was definitely inflated by about uhhhh 10 pounds! No it was actually fairly accurate...) and
spoke with a couple of the players and coach's,
we also took a few pictures with some of the players. Brian Kehl #41 a Senior Linebacker.
Also, Max Hall the new Sophomore Quarterback that we are pretty nervous about, we'll see how he fairs this season.
My mom hurried us along to get back to the Cougar room for the Q&A with Coach Mendenhall and the players. My mom won a signed football by all the coaches and players for coming the farthest. Which she really didn't the other people who came from farther just didn't know to say where they were coming from, 3rd year veterans pick up on this stuff!
This year the players for the Q&A were Max Hall, Vic So'oto, Brian Kehl, Fui Vakapuna, and Markell Staffieri. (Sorry the pictures are dark) Then we went outside to the stadium to talk with
Coach Doman about Offense,(that is not our actual offensive line don't worry)
Coach Tidwell about Defense(those 4 guys really are starting defense),
and Coach Higgins about special teams. The players lined up on the field to help the women who don't know anything about football figure out what a defensive end is and all that stuff. Then we went on the field for drills with the coaches and players. I didn't get any pictures but is was great! Britany and Kristin did awesome! (Britany is 8 months prego and Kristin is 6) They did all the drills!
Then at the end we got our goodie bags and got a picture with Coach Mendenhall. Another great year of football is ahead of us!
Ohh and Steve? Matt and I don't like the Utes, no need to cheer for them on our behalf. :)
