CHOCOLATE

Hey all-

Guess what! ( okay you don't really have to guess I just wanted to get your attention) Today is a day for CHOCOLATE!!! Yippee, I have all ready had a few dove chocolates and hot cocoa... I am sick now though. I'll have to wait a while before I eat any more chocolate. I got up early this morning as well and made Matt Cinnamon swirl french toast for breakfast. Maybe because that is the only time my mom ever made breakfast was on holidays. Also, Matt isn't too fond of holidays, besides thanksgiving, so its nice for me to make him breakfast at least so he starts the day off happy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT

Mwahahahaha

A day in the life of...

Matt and Mickie... I have just become painfully aware of how lame of a person I have become. I am a full-fledged GROWN UP. I never thought I would ever be a grown up but I am!

Get this,

In the mornings I am up at 5:50 AM to be ready for the day by 6:20 AM (showering at night is a good thing for me). I give Matt a kiss (he wont be waking up for another 1/2 hour or so) then I drive to downtown SLC where I park and wait in the warm car to catch the 7:07 AM TRAX. It drops me off at Rice Eccles Stadium where I walk the rest of the way to my 7:30 AM class.

I get done with a few classes at 10:30 AM at that point I go to work. This day, luckily, I work up at the "Mansion", Garbett Homes main office right across the street from the capitol. That is only a few blocks away from where I park my car. I work there for about six and a half hours, go to a few meetings, eat my healthy lunch and snack somewhere in between there that I have brought with me, which usually isn't enough. Then at about 5:20 PM I get to fight rush hour traffic out of SLC, down the the Sandy branch of University of Utah where at that point I have another class from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. It goes until 10 pm but the teacher lets us out VERY early every week. I usually get home around 9:00 PM, at which point I promptly start my homework and get done at around 10:30 or 11:00.

Bed time? I think not! Matt just got home form his classes and makes me aware that we have no food (this is very typical I forgot to eat dinner but then realize I am starving as well). So it's time to switch from "Working full time School attending Mickie and Matt" to "Whoops we have neglected our laundry and grocery shopping Mickie and Matt". So we start a load of laundry and go grocery shopping duh! We go in our pajama bottoms and hoodies to our neighborhood grocer and pick up some much needed items Cheese, Milk, Bread, Eggs, and Cereal. Do you need anything else to survive? Then we go home and I make my self a cheese sandwich and Matt eats a bowl of cereal. I get on the computer, check the bank account, pay a couple bills on-line and after that, its about 12:00 PM and it's time to go to shower and go to bed.

In between there sometime I have time to e-mail a few people and check a few blogs.

Only to do it ALL over again the next day.

That is a typical day for me... something similar for Matt as well. This is Monday -Thursday. Typically Fridays and Saturdays we are so burnt out that we neglect all homework that was assigned late in the week only to regret it the first of the next week and play catch up which adds extra stress. On the days I don't have early classes I go in early to work to make up the hours so as to make sure I get my 40 hours a week.

DOESN'T THAT JUST SCREAM FULL-FLEDGED GROWN UP??? Man I am a goob, what happened to my senior year of high school where I worked maybe 20 hours a week and had only 4 classes that were so easy I finished my homework in class! What did I do with my time!

Chrissie, have Indy read this post, she is BOUND TO BE GROWN UP too and it is just lame.

I am sure almost all of you have the same days, and I am not complaining about it just thought I would share my thoughts on growing up :)

All Fall

Friday Kristin Will Jason Sierra and my mom came with me to my wards Trunk or Treat. CAN YOU BELIEVE I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES? It was a little rushed for a night but Jason and Sierra looked very cute in their costumes and all the little girls LOVED Cinderella(Kristin) coming along with me. I got some Apple Cider be being the best dressed grown up, thanks mom :). For sure I'll get pictures on Halloween!

Saturday was 2 football games. One was BYU vs. UNLV and the other was Tyler's state cup soccer game. Both were good games and both of my teams won! HD Britany and Baylee got to join us for the football game. Baylee was so cute when she would clap along after BYU would score. Also it was hotter then we thought it would be most everyone used the sunscreen in my purse but Matt and I so we're a little burned... whoops. That's why Matt's hat is on skewompus, the sun was only on that side. To celebrate both wins the family went out to Wallaby's just down the road from Kristin and Wills house for dinner. Boy do they have some good Beef Brisket. I'll be going there again soon enough. Holly showed me pictures of the house her and Eric have an offer in on, pretty exciting stuff!

Sunday we went to church then went down again to the WU's to carve pumpkins. As Britany wrote, she carved Goofy, Suzanne carved Mickey Mouse (she still needs ears for him though maybe the ears from Disneyland will do for now until she gets more pumpkins) and Kristin did Tigger. Jason helped me carve my stars around the castle, he was so excited to help so I figured he could help with mine. It was easy enough. Actually I cut open the top and started digging out the seeds and juicy stuff. Jason seemed to disappear until all that was done he did NOT want to stick his hand in to get the junk out. He kept saying I CANT I CANT. haha Will and Matt did a wonderful job watching the kids and Mom helped me a little bit as well. Kristin roasted me Pumpkin seeds too... I cant wait to eat them!

So it was a GREAT fall weekend. Next weekend is more football and HALLOWEEN! Party at the Maxwell's the Princesses will be there :)

Blah

Don't you just HATE going back to school, work, and doing those horrible mundane chores when you get back from a completely wonderful relaxing vacation? I know I hate it... So blah... doing laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, homework, catching up on e-mails and duties at work, paying the bills, Yuck. That is how I feel today, no more "I am at the happiest place on earth" real life slapped me in the face.

Sad Mickie......

Sold out WHAT????

Since when does DISNEYLAND SELL OUT!!! Yes you read it right... all my moms hard work on our WONDERFUL costumes... The Mickey's Trick or Treat party this weekend is sold out. We didn't have any idea that it would. I went online to buy my ticket last night with no such luck. I called this morning and they said we might have a slight chance at getting tickets to day of maybe an hour or so before the party started but it would cost about 10 dollars more per ticket and they weren't sure if any would be available, sometimes they save some sometimes they don't. Crickey! That stinks. So anyways we wont be doing that but we will still enjoy the wonderful Southern California weather and the awesome trip to Disneyland. Kinda threw a wrench in the plan though. LAME. Well Happy driving this afternoon I guess, I'll be bringing my laptop so hopefully I can update all with pictures while we are down there. :)

Fall Break??

Yes University of Utah has Fall break... just like Spring Break. I personally think it's lame but hey, I'll deal. I am a "get through school as quickly as possible" kind of person. I don't like breaks BUT I get to go to Disneyland with the family so that should be fun.

Also, this weekend was the BYU vs. UNM game. It was an okay game.... It was funny, I read Quinn Gooch's blog shortly after the game and he said, It's sad when people don't think we had a good game because we only won by 18. HA HA I know I was disappointed. Our offense was weak sauce for sure well, maybe not our offense but our offensive coordinator. Its okay though everything was straightened out by the 2ND half. I forgot my camera can you believe it??? Oh and my grandpa even came and sat with all of us it was great! On to the next game against TCU on Thursday. Let's hope the Cougars can travel well.

This weekend the whole family was here! Nate, Kelly, Tanner, Dallin, Jordan, Michaela, Braden, Bobbie and Pop! (Matt's brothers and his Mom's parents) It was great to see everyone and we even had a chance to take some family pictures. Its tough with little ones in the cold unfortunately, so I hope some turned out. We had to be sun chasers and ended up at a nice place over by the South Mountain golf course. The leaves were great but we didn't have a chance to finish everything before the snow so the boys got dressed again and we took a few more on Sunday morning. Michaela did a great job with them. I don't have any because she is going to photo shop and then give them too us next weekend. You'll have to wait and see how they turned out. I was standing behind Michaela and took this one with my camera,It's not great because the boys were laughing at Nate's cell phone ringing in his pocket, it's the one that a voice says "ring ring ring ring ring RING RING RING RING RING RING RIIIINNG RIIIIIING RRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG AHHHHHHHHHHH". Michaela got better ones, but its a taste of what they looked like. :)

Belle of the Ball

Well this year during my fall break at school, Kristin, Suzanne, Sierra, Jason and I are taking a trip to DISNEYLAND! We are SO excited.
Kristin, Suzanne, and I had been discussing for weeks what we should be for Halloween. Jason is going to be a Pirate and Sierra (of course) is the cutest little lady bug you've ever seen! Upon discussing, Kristin thought maybe we could be Disney Princesses. We all liked the idea and my poor mother was on the tail end of that idea! She ended up sewing Suzanne's dress and MY Dress! Kristin is sewing her own dress.

Suzanne is going to be Sleeping Beauty

Kristin is going to be Cinderella

and I am going to be Belle! ( a blondish one)

My mom has been giving me updates on the dress and it sounds SPECTACULAR! I am VERY excited to wear my pretty dress with all my Princess sisters. Thank you so much mom for all of your hard work. You are the best! She got gloves for me and everything! When my Mom and Dad come the end of this week I will have to try it on and take some pictures! Aren't you all excited? HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I told Matt that he should be Gaston (sp?) and he said he would rather be the beast.... hmmm

Conference Weekend

This weekend Jordan and Michaela got tickets to go to the Sunday afternoon session of conference so they came down to visit. Also Steve Cary Teresa and Rachel came because they got tickets to the Saturday afternoon session. It was good to see them! I was reminded of a lot of things and enjoyed quite a few talks from each of the apostles and especially Thomas S Monson's talk during the Sunday morning session. He is truly an inspired man.

Well here are a few videos and a few pictures! Last night Jordan Michaela Matt and I went over to target and picked up a game to play. Jordan and Matt must have been tired because they were using deductive reasoning to answer a question and they inadvertently chose in the end the exact opposite to what they wanted to say... regardless they got the answer right but it was really funny.

After the Sunday morning session and Michaela and Jordan left Matt Ryan and I went for a little walk.. well I thought it would be a walk it was more of a hike.We hiked up the hill behind our house. Of course Matt and Ryan had to take a few goofy pictures while we were up there.

Oh and before I forget i have to ask 10 people for my class what they think negative reinforcement is leave a comment let me know what you think :)

NO Dont... okay fine take it..

At least I can blog about it... Here I am at work... I work in this model home for Garbett every other day. The other days who knows where I'll be. This development is located at 11400 and Bangerter so about 7 minutes away from my house. I like that! As for the decor I don't really like that big fish on the wall.. its kind of creepy other then that I like everything especially the tile! Not my style of home its got a beach home feel to it but definitely nice. I actaully work in the fully finished garage at a desk. I just so happened to be sitting in a chair in the front room.

Hey mom thanks for the shirt :)
