Ty turned 3!

On Sunday Ty turned 3!

Originally we weren't going to be anywhere special, so when my mom came up to help us move (again more on that soon) she brought up Ty's present.

We still have yet to put it together, we have been BUSY! But he loves playing with just the Thomas and Percy pieces and the crane with the train car for now.

Matt and I had been planning on buying Ty a bike for his birthday and kept checking Wal-Mart for the specific bike that we wanted for him. We looked about 4 times finding nothing, then I found it the Thursday before his birthday. Of course he was with me, so it was hard to hold him back from not using it that day. I bought him a 3+ size helmet to wear too, but silly me, I forgot my son has an X-large head so it didn't fit at all!

We went back the next day and got him a 5+ size Toy Story helmet that he was really excited about and wears every time he rides now, which is everywhere.

As we were moving my mom was telling us her list of things to get done before my brothers wedding at the end of this month. Of course it was a fairly long list and Matt offered our services the following weekend, Ty's birthday weekend. So we went down to my parents house to paint the fence all day Saturday. My mom was excited to have us on Ty's Birthday and took it upon herself to build Ty a Thomas Rice Krispy Treat er, Cake...

As you can see he LOVED it! The fence looks pretty good too eh?

Ty also made sure he didn't have to part with his bike for the weekend and had us bring it down to Grandma and Grandpa's house so he could ride there too, which he did.

He was a little shaky at first on his bike but he is getting the hang of it and cruising right along. Matt says this week the lessons will be on braking properly rather than bailing when he wants to stop haha.

He also got a book, a new Color Magic Color book and some new shorts. Exciting stuff for a 3 year old :) It was a Happy Birthday for Ty!
